(This was as simple a case as anything. Fight, kill, death, repeat. Well, no... Okay, it wasn't exactly like that. These weren't mere monsters or any of Marionette's puppets. They weren't on the Elite payroll or even rogue hackers. In fact, all Canti could say about them was this... Of all the times...

(From the time he had exited the Chaos Gate to right now, this confrontation had been trouble. First of all, the Twin Blade that he had had to interrogate/attack/appeal to in order to get the information about Senna's presence in Mac Anu had - rather unexpectedly - not followed him from Carmina Gade...

(It had all happened a little too fast. Canti's head was still buzzing from it. They had been fighting Primal one moment, and then it was all but over, with Nighthand injured badly. This battle had taken alot out of them. He imagined that it wasn't often the big-tops took it hard. The first thign th...

I understand, of course, that it clearly cannot be me. Thanks for the info. I'm guessing that since it's just a well-made fake, none of its abilities, even if they mimic my Twilight abilities, are harmful in any permanent sense.

I find that most monsters lack strategy, skill, capability, and common sense. If I wanted to fight a double of myself instead, who will at least be my mirror, is that possible? Can I simulate myself here?

(So far as he knew, in his fly-by run, Canti had smoked him some flying dragon parts, or at least damaged them. The point of the exercise was to make life a little easier for those around him, especially the latest addition to the team. Canti wasn't sure how, but he somehow felt that this was partia...

(Aw man! You know your game must be really off when such a simple plan seems to falter before your very eyes. Heh. If only this were only a game... Everythign would be cool and froody if this were just the virtual game it was suppose to be. But no. This stuff mattered, and so everything counted. Lik...

(Devil high, makeshift plateau. Canti watched from high above like a crow or a bat, waiting for the time of his meal. There was something criminal about it, he thought. He felt wrong for just standing on the sidelines for the time being. But there was something he was waiting for, something predator...

(It was really hard to tell exactly...what it was they were suppose to do against this second form of Primal. As Canti overlooked their battlefield, he'd been trying to establish something more concrete in the pattern of the boss-monster, something more than the senseless darting from one fire pit t...

(Battle to the beat. The plan was out there, but it wasn't quite followed, not exactly. The chance just never came up as several of the others attacked, Canti waiting for the right time - the absolute time - to strike. It did not come. Nighthand offered to be bait, but the Primal warrior didn't bite...

Canti: Hey, what gives? (He wouldn't answer the damn question! Marionette's Guardian - personally classified by Canti as Mr. Stoic - was ignoring him entirely. And the reason why? Because his job here was finished. Damn... Of all the rotten luck. This guy wasn't a human being at all, was he? It was ...

(He wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't seen it himself. Canti had known that there was something up with Zan, something wrong with him that had to do with his World-self in the game. He'd been advised to talk to Dien about it and made note of this in referrence to Marionette, letting them all in...

You'd better not moan, You'd better not groan, You'd better not kill all zombies around, Santa Brains is coming...to town! Merry ...BRAINS!! ...Christmas. Canti hangs up his fire and brimstone for the holidays, starting on the 25th and ending in January. I'm not worried, though. This Flare Hydra is...

(The Flare Hydra's first head was nothing, really. It was hard and it was high-level and its fire was strong enough to kill him, but...to the whole team, this wasn't such a bad beast. It wasn't nearly as challenging as being a bunch of low-level players against a very deadly boss. These new friends ...

(Well, with the holes sealed up, it was only a matter of time until the Dragon Den Guards were finished with. In fact, Canti didn't even go after the last ones. He saw Dien handling that pretty much already. More power to him. That being said, it was back to dealing with the statue. Canti stayed whe...
