Who did what in where?

Post by Hijinx » Fri Sep 23, 2005 1:38 am

It was always fun to pull people into a completely different place than they intended to go, so much fun in fact tha Hijinx had been playing with the moderators in her spare time. This time she was moving asgard though, so she took enough caution to make sure he warped in right side up. She doubted he would notice anything special about that, but he would have greater concerns soon anyway. She made a point of hiding them behind a large rock to avoid the attention of certain monsters...or at least for the moment.

They were in a large prairie covered with short grass. The grass itself looked like it was lacking water and was a light shade of brown.Blue skies and puffy white clouds floated by as if they didn't have a care in the world. A warm wind blew through and caused the blades to move a little. It was a fairly pleasant place to look at on this side of the boulder if nothing else. On the the otherside though, the scenery was a little different.

The grass was the same, but there were small mounds spaced along the ground with large holes in the middle. It's what was in those that the rabbit didn't want surprising the fist fighter. She gave him a few minutes to get his bearings as she peaked around the side of their cover and took count. There were at least twice as many holes as last time now, something that she would have appreciated if she had been alone. She rounded off the final number out loud to herself.

"...300"

A smile crept over her face again as she turned to face Asgard.

"Hiya!"

OOC: Short, yes? Didn't want to give away the surprise yet.

"Hijinx, Hijinx, Hijinx...What have you dragged me into now?"

Asgard looked around too see that he had been unknowingly yanked out of the server transfer process, even though the feeling of antigravity hadn't quite left him yet. Looking around him, he saw the deadened grass and the crisp environment around him. The scenery made him feel back at home, watching the maple leaves fall from the tree right outside his parents' home, in the suburban environment which was Toronto. The heated wind, however, reminded him of a summer afternoon, when the temperature was just right for being outside in. It were these things that he wish he could experience more often, but sometimes, just surviving in the field was hard enough.

Asgard, suddenly realizing he was late for his 'appointment', acted quickly and reached for the 'return to Root Town' command. However, to his surprise, the command had been removed. Pondering his predicament, he turned back to the rabbit in charge.

"Hijinx, why is my logout comm-Whoa what the hell is that?"

Asgard looked over the rock that was behind him to see the holes that littered the ground. It looked like the whole field itself was one giant game of whack-a-mole. The Fist Fighter hoped that this wasn't going to be a lifesized version, but he didn't see any giant, rubber hammers either. He breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Wait...this place...it seems so...out of place." Asgard looked around, "But everything looks like its where it should be." Asgard looked at the black rabbit with questionable eyes, "You didn't bring me to Pandora, did you?"

Cocking her head and looking thoughtful, Hijinx considered the present circumstances. She gave the field a quick appraisal and turned her attention to the ground, which she poked at a little with foot. After several seconds, the rabbit looked to the sky and rested her head on a hand before smiling and look giving Asgard a cheerful reply.

"...Probably"

The twinblade grinned at him a little, prepared to offer him arcane and impossibly complex reasons behind this thinking, but a slight rumble prevented the fist fighter from asking at the moment. Dust began to waft out of the holes as massive gophers rose out of them and gave the rock and poorly hidden pair a confused glance. Looking at each other and making noise, the mob turned to the lead animal and nodded. It nodded back in a way that instinctively made people want to duck and find cover.

Hijinx frowned in their general direction and shook her head.

"I wonder why they always go for the-"

The last word was cut off as the beasts went underground returning with combat helmets on their heads and wielding fully automatic artillery cannons. The word had been drowned out by the 2 foot long shell that had been narrowly avoided by Hijinx via a convenient strafing duck. The warning shot officially fired, the gophers loaded up the rest of the ammo and held their fire briefly. The sound of barrels slowly rotating gave the distinct impression they were going to really open up this time.

"On your mark!"

Hundreds of tiny clicks sounded out as bullets fell into place.

"Get set!"

The guns were lowered and set. A quiet fell over everything for a small moment, Hijinx grinned, and a vulture passed over them all as a tumbleweed blew across the gap between the two groups.

"GOAT!"

Almost jumping for the trigger, the animals stopped themselves and leaned back with their arms crossed and thumbs tapping impatiently, waiting for the rabbit to stop playing games. Rolling her eyes at the lot, she stuck out her tongue.

"Grumpy things..." she said, leaning towards Asgard so he could hear. "Alright, go."

A hail of shells were let loose on the pair.

OOC: Well, everything takes realistic damage here, so if you hit vitals you should have no problem! :D The leader is 12 feet tall and half as wide, the others are a little shorter and thinner. Have fun!

Another round whistled by her head as hijinx hopped from side to side gracefully. The direct approach wouldn't work with these, and she didn't want to cheat. What she needed was a distraction, something loud and obvious to draw the enemy fire away from her for a moment. Glancing back at Asgard confirmed that he would make some noise for at least a second. Hijinx took a blind leap back and spun, hoping he was still in the same place. Luck was with her today, he hadn't moved yet. Grabbing hold of his arm she put a hand to one of her blades, the most recent addition. It was time to make a decoy.

The rabbit gave the fist fighter's arm a hard pull, dragging him forward and starting to go go into a high speed spin. In a moment she had become a blur, laughing as she held on to asgard's forearm. Without warning, she angled herself towards the ground and let go, sending asgard flying in a tumble over the gophers. Several exploded into data as they spun around, bullets from the others turning to face the human projectile ripped through them with ease. However, before he could land, the unlucky Asgard exploded. Much to their amazement, he had turned into confetti while a balloon bobbed out above the colorful mess. Dangling by his wrist looking confused was Ryok. In one swift movement she was charging and Urbosh was casting ap do with his usual pleasant burble. Her other hand grabbed hold of the second Akatsuki on her belt.

"Orchid dance!"

Flower pettles burst from the air around Hijinx as she shot into the mob, turning the air into a mix of red and green from the orchids and exploding data. The attack subsided in a blinding whirl of crimson, the rabbit standing at it's center. She was also surrounded by empty holes where thirty of the gophers had been. Not willing to take a risk with the rabbit, the ones closest turned their attention back to her while the nearest to Ryok took the liberty of popping his balloon. He began to freefall towards the ground looking obviously confused and terrified.

-The boy shot out of the confetti bedazzled his eyes wide. That last thing he remembered was laying down on his rugged rock to sleep. The small colored sheets of paper touched down around him. Surrounding him a pack of well groomed brown animals. They stood well above ryoks' puny height of only 5'2. Still wide eyed as if he had been waken up to an explosion. Seconds past and he noticed he was now level with the animals. Then the sensation that his feet weren't on the ground came to him and he noticed he was tied to a balloon!? He rose up higher until he was just about the brown creatures heads. Ryok looked down, across the field of furry animals and wondered how he had come into this mess. His hand turned a bright magenta color as the balloon soared up over the dead grass plain. A gigantic shell came out of the crowd of fuzzy things and tore the balloon to shreads. He fell. Looking at what he was going to land on. Off to the side a rabbit sprite was attacking the huge creatures. Hijinx?.. Never really talked to her before. Only quested with her a few times, and I don't know anything really about her. I wonder.. Does she have anything to do with this?

-He hit the creature his feet pushing down into its fur. Hands fluttered for his sheathed blade. Tearing the blade from its keep he buried it deep into the animals chest. Pushing off of it with his legs he pulled the blade from it. Blood spilled out of it and he stood amidst the rest of them. A way out was needed, and needed fast. Shells fell from the sky perfectly aimed at his stand still location. He dove out of the way, his hands dropping his blades to stop the flames from engulfing him. He pushed them at the animals whom caught fire instantly. His hands picked his blade back up from the hard grass. He stood knowing he'd have to take them down to survive. An all around attack, an all around attack..

-"Kannon!" He spun his blade catching fire as he slashed and poked the animals. Comming to a stop he looked around many had fallen but more surrounded him. He needed to get to Hijinx maybe she could stop them from amassing. How though would he accomplish this if he could barely see past one of them. Simple enough. Ryok ran at the closest gopher he could see. Coming to its feet he jumped grabbing a hold of its fur to climb up it. Dodging its claws, he reached its shoulders and stood up on them. Not to far off to his right he could see the animals falling like dominos. A hand reached into the pouch that sat on his hips. He pulled out of it a speed charm and stuck it to the front of his shirt. With his blade still in hand he jumped from its shoulders and landed back down on the ground. Its claws came down hard on his head and he fell to the ground. Ryoks hands pushed into the ground but as he rose another slash crossed his back side. Again he rose, holding himself up with one arm, he slashed out the leg of the gopher in front of him. The creature fell, and ryok rolled over to see the faces of many standing over him. Why me!?

-He stabbed into the nearest leg and pulled himslef up. Pulling the blade from it's bloody sheath he brought his blade down into the throat of the recently fallen. Again he unsheathed it, and brought it up in front of him with two hands. His body turned towards where the gophers were dropping and ran at the gopher in his way. A single slash to the face dropped the creature and he ran past it towards the next. Jabbing into its soft stomach he pulled upwards cutting it wide open. He pushed the corpse of his blade and continued. As he jumped over the following fallen animal a shell dropped on its decapitated body. The shells fell closer and closer. Ryok jumped up on to the creature in front of him and pushed off it's shoulders as its claws reached for him. He flew a distance before landing on the heads of a few. Before falling to the ground he scoped out a taller gopher that stood behind the lines of his army. The general was that one who needed to fall, but he looked stronger then the others. More worked as well, tough. Ryok landed and before the creatures could react ryok was weaving through past their legs and towards the opening where he hoped Hijinx was tearing them apart. He struck an animal faced away from him to open up a way on to the bed of dead gophers.

-"So, what exactly am I.. Doing here?" He said, hoping Hijinx could hear him. He turned around attacking the gopher behind him. Its claws coming across his chest he stepped back. Then swung at it as he stepped forwards. His blade catching its arm almost completely severing it from the body. He broght the blade back across the stomach. It fell backwards on to the brown grass. Ryok broght his blade back up in front of him waiting for a worth while attack to happen upon him.

OOC: First things first: Things in my field don't bleed, just like hijinx doesn't. Second, the post!

What was ryok doing here... she already knew of course, but that didn't stop a grin from sweeping quickly across her face. What she really had to decide was how to tell him what he really was expected to do. She twisted and spun to the left, narrowly avoiding the shell that zipped by at stomach level and slapping another as it passed just above the last one. The blow sent the bullet into a backwards tumble in the air, forcing it to glance off the rock that had once been a shield. The rock was in bad shape now, but the projectile wasn't much better; it somersaulted over ryok's head and pinged painfully off the forehead of a random gopher, after which it sailed skyward. The spectical earned a round of applause, which Hijinx has happy to accept with a bow. A moment later, arms were bared and rounds were flying again. Naturally, this was the best time for an explanation to Ryok.

She thought it over for a minute, and then give it a moment's consideration afterwards. He didn't need to know EXACTLY what he was involved in...

Turning to face him, the rabbit offered a brief smile and grabbed him.

"You're going on an excavation!"

A sudden punt sent him on his way through a passing flock of turtles. Seconds later, it became apparent that he was outside a mansion, or more specifically, in the ocean by the beach outside the giant house with a note taped to his chest that had simple instructions on it. There was no sign of hijinx and her friends.

"Up the stairs and down the hall, in the attic you'll have a ball! Better be quick, or you won't be the one wearing bells!"

Something was also written on the back in orange ink.
"PS: Get the item REALLY fast, and I'll give you a present!"

(OOC: Yeah.. -.-;; )

-The back of his shirt pulled him away from the gopher that stood in front of him. Hijinx hadn't answered him yet. He looked back to see her foot wound up, cocked back behind her body. Then it fell below her and up under him. The next thing he knew he was in the air, flipping, spinning. Looking down at Hijinx then back up at the sky, and then back down towards where Hijinx would've been standing if clouds weren't in the way. Then back up at the sky.. Then back at the water?! He plunged down deep into it taking in his last breath as he hit the surface. He began to float upwards as the force of the impact lifted. His motionless body lay face down in the water. Exhaling, his head rose from the deep waters. The full purple aura of his eyes stared at the house upon the beach, Ryok shifted backwards, now perpendicular to the water's surface. His arms moved in a figure eight, his legs kicking. Spinning he observed the area. Behind him the ocean, like space, met the horizon, seeming to go on for an eternity. The beach line also extending off out of the field of vision. Hijinx wasn't to be found. Still perplexed as to how he first came onto the field of fuzzy brown animals he began swimming to shore. A standard stroke, one that anyone would've known had they gone to high school. It was the only one he knew, but it did what it needed to do. He stopped just inches from the beach gliding into the soft sand.

-He lay there for a moment.. Soaking up his surroundings. His hands sunk into the wet sand and he pushed himself to his feet. Walking up the beach he reached a higher area covered in grass and in front of him a mansion stood. He hadn't noticed until this point that there was a note attached to the front of his shirt. He tore it off and read..

-"Up the stairs and down the hall, in the attic you'll have a ball! Better be quick, or you won't be the one wearing bells!"

-Staring at it he couldn't understand something. What bells?.. He turned the paper over to see a bright, neon orange tip.

-"PS: Get the item REALLY fast, and I'll give you a present!"

-He folded the paper into fourths and stuffed it into his kimono. He strolled up to the front door of the Mansion. I guess I have to get this item.. I still don't understand what this is all about. The house was magnificiant, something you wouldn't expect to find in a game like the one he was currently in. It was modern, maybe to modern for his own tastes. He knocked on the door, no one answered. Assuming no one was home he checked the door knob. It was unlocked, and he let himself in. He strolled around the first floor of the home a full kitchen, dining room, and living room. It was open no doors seprated the rooms from eachother, but it gave the house a certain feel to it. The floors were hardwood and white carpeting, as they were in his own home. He went to the fridge and opened it. Sadly nothing was inside. He was hoping for a full course meal with anything he wished on the side, instead of the health drinks he 'ate' for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They had no particular taste to them but they filled his stomach. Remembering why he was sent here he moved back to the front door. In front of it loomed the stairway to the second floor.

-He climbed the stairs reaching the top he grabbed a hold of the end of the railing. It lifted up and backwards.. The stairs folded inwards, his eyes flattened as he fell back to the bottom of the stairs. Ryok stood back up shaking off the idiotic prank that was just pulled on him. Like he ever would've expected something like that to happen. He climbed the stairs again and reached the second floor without touching the railing.

-Now.. Just down this hall? Hmm.. But the attic would be the next floor wouldn't it be? Ryok walked to the end of the hall. His hand touched the end door. Its handle ice cold.. He twisted the knob and opened the door. His jaw dropped as he stared into the open room. It was filled with treasure boxes.. The item she wants is in one of these!? There's to many to freaking count!.. He sighed walking up to the first one.. His eye twitched in annoyance. One of them? Well, I might as well start looking. Ryok stepped into the bleak room. Thinking for a moment he walked up to the closest chest, and opened it.

OOC: Sorry for the delays, finals and classes have been killing me :( . In any case, I'm back and posting in a hurry! :D

Hijinx looked at the leader of the gopher troop, a bead of sweat emerged from under his helmet and ran down his forehead. Fear and anticipation filled him with dread while the rabbit feigned movements with her hands. A darting index finger flew right and was met by many a gasp and cringe, followed by a breath of relieve when she slowly pulled it back towards her. Disgruntled mummurs spread through the group as she smirked at the situation; victory was assured already, so now she was just playing with them. In a single deft movement, she had a small red disc marked with a crown spinning on her finger tip and soon after, dancing between all of her fingers. The rabbit smiled triumphantly and put the piece to the checked board with an exagerated clack, repeating it as she made it hop the black pieces like a frog several times before holding it towards the sky.

"Thunder coil!"

In a blaze of electric glory, it struck the final open spot and evaporated the black discs. Hijinx jumped up on the board and struck a pose, showing off muscles that she didn't necessarily have for a few seconds before the animals went to get their guns again. She hopped over the first volley and dove into one of the holes, laughing cheerfully as a stream of furry anger followed her down and through the tunnels.

_____________________________________________________________

The chest sprung to life, clamping down on Ryok's head and slapping him about the face with a tongue made of gold coins. Instead of chest, the room had been filled with Mimics and Hell boxes. Spider legs began popping out from under them all in succession, and the room was soon seething with monsters. A rumble in the back of the attic made them all turn briefly as it grew stronger and closer. Barreling out of a blind spot, Pandora's Box ripped through a small crowd of gathered mimics with complete disregard and began smashing them by the 5's. Fortunately, it remained far away from Ryok and was fending off a mass of Hell Boxes itself, so it paid him no mind. Turning in circles angrily, it charged to the side and smashed through a Deadly Present as it rounded a corner and went out of sight.

-The unattentive ryok took the blows from the weak creature, and was spat out. The room seemed to move in its new state. All of the boxes that had been laid before he were in reality an assoreted mix of monsters. Whose levels ranged from 8 to 89. Ryok crawled backwards until his back touched the door he had come through. It had been shut, ryok reached from his position up to the knob. He jiggled it around until he heard a clicking noise. Standing he swung the door open and proceeded out of the room. Calmly walking out he closed the door behind him, and leaned up against it. His eyes still wide in suprise at what had just happened. He was completely taken by suprise. The house itself had been normal until he had opened a chest. Turning back around he reached for the knob again, and opened the door. Peeking inside he saw the destruction of the strongest monster which was picking apart the rooms population of weaker monsters. Ryok stepped back into the room his Demonic Blade drawn from its sheath. The sword held in a comfortable stance, another step towards the monster that had started the ruckus. His Iron Anklet jingled, the monster turned to face him. Ryok dashed at it, his sword pointed towards the ground. As the creature came into range he pulled the blade upwards. The boxs' soft wood splitting as it met with the hot blade, he pulled the sword through the creature its' coin tongue turned grey sat on the ground. Ryok stepped over it and looked for his next target.

-He knew he had to stay away from the big one, which was tearing not only the small monsters apart but the room itself. A hole from where Pandoras had begun its' rampage was conveniently left in the back corner where ryok could avoid falling from the second story of the building. Ryok stepped up to the next creature whom was faced away from him. The color of the wood that composed the monsters body seemed to be a darker tint, but ryok paying no attention to it thrusted his blade into the creatures' backside. Rather, tried to thrust his blade into its' backside. The blade struck it's target, a viberation shooting up the blade's shaft. Ryoks' body rung for a moment his head throbing. A headache took over him as he stepped back, and the effected monster spinning around. The Hell Box opened its mouth and its' tongue of coins licked him upwards. Ryok shot up into the air several feet and landed in a pile of mimics. Slashing his way from the pack he confronted the Hell Box. A red glyph appeared under the monster, ryoks' hand now glowing with a red tint, his palm faced towards the creature.

-"Dek Vaks" the creatures fire resistance dropping considerably after charms of fire fell onto it. Ryok started at the monster his blade guided into its' sheath with his thumb. Licking his left thumb he pulled a charm from his pouch, and stuck it to his body. His strides became shorter and his legs felt lighter. He pushed the Demonic Blade from its sheath with the tip of his right thumb, and grabbed its' handle with his left. In range... He pulled the blade from its sheath, a single elegant horizontal swing came across the width of the monster as he passed it by. Ryok stopped running, gliding his blade back into its scabbard. The Hell Box slid in half turning grey, and bursting into data that was to be eventaully recycled. Ryok turned back towards the group of monsters. Staring him down were two hell Boxes, set on pulling him limb from limb. The one to the right bounced up and down, its tongue hanging out, flapping in the dusty room. He started towards them noticing the significant descrease in speed he gazed down into a pale glyph that had appeared under him. A slow moving eyebrow was raised towards the spell glyph that lay on the floor. It gave off a particular white color that ryok only assocaited itself with physical aliment spells. The foot that had started towards the monsters landed, ryok had drawn his blade. He shifted, the blade rose up into the air and flipped in his hands. His mind rattled he didn't know which way was up, and who the real enemy was. The sword fell from its upright position. Ryok fought back at the spell with what little sanity he still had left in his mind. Side stepping the blade pierced through the lower left half of his abdomen. His hands let the blade go and he fell backwards on to the ground. The Hell Boxes started towards him. Sitting up he pulled the blade from his stomach. Coughing, he set the blade on the top side of his left forearm. The flesh tore as his arm began sawing at his own arm, as if he were caught in a life threatening trap.

-The Hell Boxes reached him, and batted his face with their tongues of metal. The Demonic Blade dropped from his grasp as he came to. He picked the blade back up awkwardly, in the opposite hand. He swung it at the creatures in front of him. They jumped back feeling the strength, not of the attacks, but of the blade itself. Ryoks' right hand pressed the blade into the ground as he stood back up. Coughing again he held his injured arm over the abdominal wound. Pulling the blade back behind him, he started at them. He closed in on them casting Dek Vaks on the left one. The one to the left slightly closer then the right one he slashed horizontally at it. He continued the swing to block the attack of the second box that had seen an 'opening' when he had attacked the other box. His left hand rose to point its' palm at the left box.

-"Vak Don" He called, the boxs' attack slowing as a gigantic boulder appeared over it. Crushing the fire weakened box the boulder disappeared its job finished. Ryoks' leg kicked the Hell Box backwards, it slid a few feet before slowing, and charging back at him. Ryok pulled the Demonic Blade across his body and swung as the creature came back into range. It stopped dead, literally, in its tracks. The word 'Death' rose up above it as the colors that made the box what it was dissolved into a dark grey. Ryok stepped back up against the wall, and slid down until he sat. His breathing was heavy, he needed to heal. Ripping two health drinks from his waist pouch he drank them down. His wounds, and kimono repaired themselves as the drinks washed down. He pushed off the wall with enough force to send him to his feet. He looked around, more then half of the rooms population was decimated. The fighting between not only him and them, but amungst themselves slowly killed most of them.

(OOC:I dunno where to stop, if you want me to keep killing them just say :D)

Bounding through the tunnels with her gopher adversaries in pursuit, Hijinx whipped around a corner and yanked Urbosh out of her pocket.

"Make with the fast spell, I'll be late!"

The blob burbled in acknowledgement and cast Ap Do on the rabbit, who made a sudden turn and ended up facing not only the opposite direction, but sliding up the side of the hole backwards. Quickly pulling her newest blades from the sheathes, Hijinx broke into a charge, going back the way she came. Flower petals began to appear in front of her as she chanted the words she needed to use her special attack, quickly multiplying the closer she got to the end of the words.

"ORCHID"

A swirl of crimson began to rotate in front of her, spinning faster as she approached her targets.

"DANCE!"

The spiral burst into a color tornado, the sight of which caused the animals to come to a screeching halt and a quick retreat. The last in the line cast a backwards glance just in time to be engulfed by the petals that completely obscured the rabbit as she tore through the mob and burst up the incline, into the sunlight, and then through nothing, resulting in an immediately shift to the attic. The flowery attack blazed past ryok and ripped into the first batch or mimics, scattering data all over the room. She could just ignore any questions about where she came from, but first there was other business that needed to be dealt with. Hijinx stopped, but the orchids continued past her and sent the boxes tumbling over each other as Pandora's Box turned to face her expectantly, but it was caught in a hug before it could react. Several licks later, she whispered something to the giant chest and pointed at Ryok, smiling and laughing as it bounced madly after him with a belt, wrist bands, and anklets jostling around in it's open mouth. All of them had suspiciously round silver bells attached to them.

-Ryok fell over as the door behind him flew open with enough force to blow the mimics blocking it to fly across the room. In a blaze of flowers Hijinx flew into the room as if she had been waiting for the perfect time to come out. Finally, that time had come and she had came. Ryok’s eyes fixated on the point where the flowers fell until Hijinx’s figure could clearly be made out. Ryok pushed his hands into the ground coming to. He realized she had never really answered his question. Merely set it aside to be answered later, or perhaps never. Ryok wanted answers. He wanted to honestly know where exactly inside the game he was, if he was in it at all still. Why it was him who appeared instead of Nighthand or Reinier, and what exactly he was doing. Ryok looked around the room at the fleeing mimics, and then glared over at Hijinx.

-“So, what exactly am I doing, and where were you this whole time?!” He practically shouted across the room, but she seemed not to have heard him. His glared turned into an upset face. “He-…” His eyes shrunk when the outline of Pandora’s box was made out next to her figure. Does she somehow control that thing?! His eyes shrunk, and he fell backwards on to the ground as the creature jounced from it’s place towards him. Pulling himself across the ground with his arms he backed up. Against the wall know where to go. From the window the sun cast in it’s light the Box growing ever closer to him. Again it bounced, through the light, a glare caught Ryok’s right eye. His pupil’s irregular influx causing pain it his forehead made him turn away for a brief moment. He looked back at the creature now almost standing on him. Or you won’t be the one wearing the bells! The words flashed into his head leaving a finite message in the darkness of his mind. One of his hands reached up to the knob and he pulled himself up to his feet once again. The safest course of action flowed into his mind, an event that rarely happened.

-First, he switched out his Demonic Blade for the real Heavy Blade weapon the Flame Sword. He stepped towards the Box to let it know he wasn’t going to just sit down and die. Pandora stopped, and the two of them seemed to have a staring contest. One of which Ryok couldn’t win, because the box had no eyes. He squinted at it, his eyes beginning to water. The blade lifted from the ground and gently landed back down on Ryok’s shoulder. Starting towards it he threw the blade off his shoulder and held it in a defensive position across his body. Timing it correctly he thrust the blade into the top of the creature’s mouth and reached inside. His finger rubbed one of the anklets causing it to fall deeper into the monsters mouth. He tried the next closest object only to stop half way and realize that the box’s mouth was closing. Ryok stepped back his arm retracting from the depths of Pandora’s mouth. The blade pierced through the top of its head, and the opening of the box shut violently. Ryok jumped back a bewildered expression across his once serious face. Pandora’s mouth lifted sending the blade into the back of the room. His mind stopped running as his first plan seemed to have failed.

-He was running blanks searching about the room for a clue, a gesture from his ‘friend’ Hijinx anything that might help. Nothing came though, that one plan was the only one that would even seem remotely survivable. Well I can always look to Hijinx for help. She seems to know this place inside out. Not only that, be she also seems to be friends with that… Creature. He shrugged off the thought of dying to this creature a horrible and painful death. With the thought of Hijinx saving him if he honestly needed the help he equipped the Demonic Blade again. Pandora bounced a bit closer, ryok train of thought falling apart. His confidence falling into the dark depths of where ever feelings go. What if that rabbit doesn’t save me? Even though she can probably call it off like a dog if she wanted to. The ‘what if’, questions of the future plagued his mind until the box bounced again. Ryok took a step towards the monster, pulled back, readied his blade and pulled it from its sheath. An upwards-vertical swing slid across the front of the box. Ryok stood still his eyes closed, his face towards the ground. The blade pointed towards the monster where ryok held it high above his own head. He jumped back hitting the wall which he had forgotten about. The boxes’ coin tongue fell out of its mouth and smacked ryok sideways sending him across the attic. He passed through a makeshift wall, which served only to make another room in the attic, and stopped in a pile of dusty books. He stood, a book titled The End of Everything in his hand when he rose. Dropping the book he fell to one knee, and touched the side of his face and body. The side of his body, which was struck, was bruised and swelling. He dragged himself from the hole in the thin wall, and fell into the open room. Reaching into a side pouch he pulled out two health drinks and forced himself, through the pain, to swallow the liquid. Standing, he knew that fighting the monster would likely kill him. He needed a way to just get those items and Hijinx would stop it.

-He sheathed the blade back into its case and stood ready for its next attack. He wasn’t going to rush it and get owned, he’d take his time and wait for the moment to grab a couple of the necessary items. Ryok being as careful as he usually was when it came to trying not to get killed didn’t want to have to resort to using a power he couldn’t control well. It wasn’t that he couldn’t manipulate the fire well it was just what to do with it afterwards. A combo popped into his head that would possibly knock out or make the items he needed available. Timing again being another key essential to this new plan was to make sure Pandora was landing from a bounce so it didn’t have the ability to dodge the attacks. Ryok’s right hand grabbed the Demonic Blades sheath and pushed the hilt away from it with his thumb. Grabbing the handle of the blade he waited for the right time. The box jounced quickly rising and falling back to the ground. It readied for another jump, ryok starting in towards it. Ryok slid to a stop in front of it, and hopped back before it jumped. Landing he pulled out the Demonic Blade shouting out his favorite attack...

-“Karin!” The blade was set ablaze as he pulled it from its scabbard. His right hand gathering some of the blades blaze as it passed out of its case. Another upwards-vertical blow being dealt to the box as it came back down to the floor. Ryok jumped back throwing the makeshift fireball at the creature’s mouth hoping to knock an item or two out. Pandora hit the ground its mouth slamming shut, and bouncing back open allowing the ball to slip in unnoticed. Until it hit the back of Pandora’s mouth. The mini explosion caused one of the anklets to loop around one of the box’s front teeth. Ryok ran forward picking the anklet carefully off the tooth of the still living creature. A fact that ryok had forgotten in all of ten seconds. Ryok spun as he pulled the anklet free stopping when he faced Hijinx. He tossed to over to her, and turned back around. He fell back on to the ground, his eyes bigger then their sockets. The box’s mouth closed down around him. It bounced and jiggled bashing him around its mouth with its tongue. “Hel… e… Hinj…!!” Were the only syllables that could be made out from the opening and closing of Pandora’s mouth.

-After realizing that no help was coming from his rabbit counter-part he quickly began to think of what to do next. There wasn’t anything, no idea magically popped into his head that would miraculously save him from his doom. No, this time he honestly had to think of a plan. Something that wouldn’t just delay his inevitable death but thwart it completely. He looked up from the sea of gold he was buried up to his waist in, and looked out the juggling mouth of the box. Hijinx casually walked over to the piece that had been on the ground and picked it up. She stared down into the creature’s mouth and waved a peace sign at ryok. An emotion of a mix between pain and confusion came over ryok as he tried shifting with the creature to reduce the pain. He couldn’t decide what that gesture meant… Was it the fact that I got a piece, and she was like giving me a ‘good job’ gesture or was it more like “get two more pieces”?! Maybe she meant “harhar, thanks for the armors”. No, no she wouldn’t do that... Would she?! He couldn’t decide, and the thought that she’d leave him in there was daunting.

-Shaking the idea from his mind, he equip a flamberge a weapon he had never used before. Despite its weakness in strength it was still a large blade. Taking it up in both hands he buried it deep into the gold that made up the monsters mouth. Making contact with the bottom of the box he completely submerged himself in the bodily organ of the creature. He pushed it down through the boxes underside hoping to pin it to the ground. He rose to the top of the organ his face and clothes torn from the coins. The trunk rattled as it realized its fate. Ryok popped his last Health Drink open and drank it down. Equipping his other flamberge he repeated the process. Again rising to the surface of the organ. Again the box rattled… Ryok dipped back down into the organ, resurfacing with the Demonic Blade in hand. The boxes mouth flipped open, as it jounced over and over to free itself from the ground. Ryok shoved the blade in between the creature’s halves and looped his left arm through the bouncing belt and an armlet. Grabbing the lip of the box he flung himself out of the death trap ripping his clothes on one of the creatures teeth as he exited. Falling down onto the ground the items dropped off his arm and rolled towards Hijinx. Spinning around in a circle until the ended up dormant on the ground. Ryok hoping that Hijinx was pleased would call the creature off of him so that he may live.

-Before this could take place though an ear wrenching sound ripped through the room. The box freed itself from the ground, the Demonic Blade being bent until it flung from the creatures mouth. It hopped towards the motionless ryok, who lay in thought that Hijinx would in fact save him.

OOC: Sorry for the huge delays! Pressing family business kept me busy, ask for details at your own risk.

Cheering happily, Hijinx scooped up the pieces and equiped them, turning and twisting to get a better look at herself. She couldn't help thinking that it would be better if she had all of the accessories though, a thought that made her spin around quickly and look for the box and ryok. They weren't too hard to find, given the one's massive size and her instructions to fetch him. The giant chest was more or less following her command, it was just taking it's time about it. Shrugging off her doubts as to how well trained the monster was, the rabbit put two fingers in her mouth and whistled. In a few seconds the creature was romping towards her with Ryok's legs dangling from it's mouth. The noises he was making didn't sound too happy, so she settled with hurrying for the moment.

Holding a hand out, she turned it over so the palm was up and smiled.

"Well?"

The box shifted a little from one side to the other, making Hijinx clear her throat and tilt her head as she put her hand out expectantly. Jingling pleasantly, the last items vaulted through the small opening. Wasting no time, she snapped them on and briefly admired the new look, jingling a little to the left, then the right, making pleasantly crisp rings as she did so.
A muffled something or other from inside the chest brought her full attention back to it.

"Drop it..."

Instead of listening, the Pandora's box shuffled beackwards a few inches, hesistating.

"Fine, no treats for you then..."

The box stiffened as the rabbit snagged a fleeing mimic, holding it over her head. With a weird thunking splat, ryok was ejected from the thing's mouth, landing next to the twinblade. Wasting no time, Hijinx hurled the mimic across the room and down the attic stairs. Pandora's box charged after it, and with a wave and a stomp, the rabbitine twinblader transported them back to the town. Stopping only to give a confused Ryok a hug and a thank you (he would be happy to find that his weapons had been returned to his inventory later), she was gone, hopping over an equally confused crowd of players that had seen them appear from what looked like nowhere.
