Her arms were so warm. It was as if he sun itself had reached out to wrap itself around the shivering little boy. The dream had shaken a nerve in him he had never once been aware of. It wasn’t a fear that was common in nightmares, but rather it had its own brand of terror. The odd thing about that was it wasn’t Conner’s terror. In the confusing jumble of events that was his dream he had been the one doing the chasing. He was hunting; feeding. The thought had him crying for his mother’s comfort, the words half-muffled with his desperate sobs. Every moment of the dream had felt wrong. Every step Conner had made felt sinful and by God he had reveled in it. As his tears soaked into the pink cotton of his mother pajamas, his racing thoughts slowed down to a peaceful pondering. The rattling of his bones had become a nervous wobble and panicked breath had become exaggerated lifts of his chest. What appeared to be a split second passed and his mother’s mutilated body lay limp at his feet as he stared in horror at claws that were slowly becoming fingers. What in the hell…

Zan smashed a shaking hand over half of his face, his pulse beating like an overexcited racehorse. The memory had started out nice and easy and played along the truths his mind had held. The primal essence he now felt lingering in the back of his head had interrupted and perverted the wonderful stream of thoughts. The Heavy Blade hadn’t even realized he had been doing it and for a while he simply stood with his mouth hanging open with an awkward gape. Never before had his memories allowed themselves to be corrupted. Sure, he had had his own little slips into insanity in his day, but something had always kept memories of his late mother pure and untouched. Anger poured through him like magma, causing the shake of his hand to spread through his entire form. This was all wrong, all so wrong. What the hell was happening to him? Had the virus gone beyond a coma and become something more? Something…inhuman? Whatever the answer was, it sure felt that way.

The mortified expression was soon wiped from his solemn face as he took another good look around him. Not moments before he had been standing with the group in a hushed silence, awaiting some sort of signal as to why he had been brought here. With the same speed that his memory had morphed, his surroundings had just as suddenly become a swirling bout of confusion and chaos. The instant shock was too much for his already overloaded cortex and the Heavy Blade’s eyes fought viciously not to slide back into his head. On top of everything else that plagued his helpless frame, he was now faced with the fear of losing time at the worst possible moment. What if he tranced again? With his luck, Zan would pick the very moment that everyone needed him the most. There was no fairness left in the World. It had become his prison and, it seemed, it sought to rule him with an iron fist. It could never do that physically and it knew it all to well. It would break his mind and move onto something more challenging. Horrible? Of course. But damn it all if it wasn’t the truth.

Spell after raging spell bit mercilessly at some invisible but obviously quite corporeal wall. The sheer weight of the noise had him stumbling precariously backwards as his hearing kicked in once again. Even as the spells continued and his senses died back to normality, a soft ringing vibrated mockingly along his eardrums. Familiar trails of dark blood leaked along his ear and dripped carelessly on the ground at his feet. Zan hoped to high heaven that everyone was quaintly ignoring his spasmodic motions as he fought for complete control over himself. A deep breath and a hurried shake of his head brought everything back to a bearable focus and he was able to take in the full effect of what was going on. Initially, Zan had assumed the force field…thing was hogging all of their attentions. A few more seconds of digesting the enormous amount of stimuli had his eyes following the movements of a player he had never personally met. He had heard the name during his first trip with the Freedom Fighters, but he couldn’t quite pull it into full view. Higen? Giginx? No, no. Hijinx? Yea, that sounded just about right. This “Hijinx” seemed to have captured the annoyed and enraged glances of a few of his comrades as well.

It was true that the Heavy Blade had a bit of a lag when it came to recalling the name of what he could only assume was the new enemy. However, he was positive that the rabbit hadn’t looked entirely like that before. Not only had his class seemed to have completely changed, but his appearance now held the broken remains of shackles and a number of new add-ons that made his head spin. Not only did weapon seem impossible to handle correctly, but the angle it was bent at made it seem far too dangerous to wield in the first place. Zan, over his time spent in the World and especially his run-ins with Wulo, had developed a knee jerk reflex to anything that seemed dangerous and his hands were gripped around the large blade before him before he even knew he was doing it. No matter how many times he had practiced, never before had he been able to whip it out quite that fast. It wasn’t made in any sort of theatrical blur, but his arms had been almost springy. He left himself no time to contemplate and instead brought his eyes to hone in on the task at hand.

As much as Zan felt compelled to rush the jester-minded player and slice him into not-so-pretty packages, he knew the idea was on the brink of suicidal. Goofy flamboyancy didn’t necessarily equal up to moronic and weak. The Heavy Blade thought it safe to assume the rabbit could easily rip him a new one if he felt the urge to do so. Zan had to force himself to fight with a more strategic edge. It wasn’t that he was reckless, but he had the tendency to enforce himself through physical assaults. Hijinx was obviously at more than twice his strength and had an obvious assortment of magics if it was able to call up such a shield. He couldn’t be positive that it had indeed been the obnoxious player at the origin of its creation, but it was most likely safe to assume such. He’d have preferred to overestimate a person rather than underestimate them any day of the week. It usually kept him alive. It usually kept his unsteady little heart beating. For a while his eyes simply followed the menace, searching for the perfect opening. The strangers fighting style was oddly effective and no such opening presented itself. Sadly, he would have to throw caution to the wind.

The strategy was cooked up in a matter of moments and that alone should have warded him off from using it. If it hadn’t been the only one to come to him in such a short expanse of time, he would have more than likely chose something else. A series of deep breaths were consumed, which was really the only appropriate term for the fashion in which he was breathing, before he began to sneak to the mischievous player’s flank. Zan was more than aware that a simple charge would warrant him unwanted attentions and his hand lifted as phase one of his plan was executed. Barely audible words slipped from pursed lips as the spell was announced. The Heavy Blade had become so tunnel-visioned on his opponent that, if someone was on the stranger’s side, Zan wouldn’t have the foggiest as the spell was cast. The rune appeared on the opposite side of Jinx than where Zan currently stood and he waited for the Rai Rom to activate before making his hastened approach. The spell was cast in hopes that it would throw the player’s attentions completely away from his general direction. If his full back was turned to Zan, the man would splay the blunt end of his sword and his free hand into a few pressure points along the shoulder blades that would send a shock down Jinx’s arms and cause him to drop the weapon if the attack connected. However, if his full back was not turned and his attentions simply brought to the spell, Zan would make a quick snap at the pressure point atop Jinx’s dominant hand in hopes of causing his grip to loosen enough to drop the blade. All the while he would steady his foot and pivot it behind him, expecting to have to make a rushed recovery from any attack the rabbit would send his way. His muscles seemed to ripple with a small bit of growth as he sought to ground himself, veins becoming apparent as the animal in him seemed to slip to the surface.

A blink; that's all that had managed to pass as he felt the guttural pull yank at him once more. As he sought to land the desired blows, he was suddenly faced with yet another lapse of time that him standing rather awkwardly in the fray of battle once more. What was odd about this one, however, was the fact that it was not accompanied by any horrific false memory. For that he was very, very glad. It was turning into the same situation as the last time he had accompanied the coma victims. He wasn't helping, only setting himself up as another easy target. Perhaps it was the fact that his ego was at stake or something far less selfish, but the need to prove himself useful became a near obsession in a fraction of a second. Risking another ear bleed, Zan struggled to throw out his magnified hearing yet again in hopes to take in the situation more properly.

Sound exploded around him in a furious flare of nonsensical details that had him gritting his teeth in an attempt to fight back the pain. Nothing seemed correct; a conundrum of insanity conflicting with what he had intended to do. Turning it off proved next to impossible when compared to its activation and the Heavy Blade feared that it would never stop. For the umpteenth time, Zan was caught off guard as a series of thing unfolded in a single count of time. His brain suddenly flipped on some metaphorical switch and it was as if it had become a perfect, flawless super computer. The smell of Vera's rich, coppery blood had him in some sort of hyper alert state of mind. Zan knew now, for a few wonderful moments, how to control the craze of his senses. Eyes that now seemed to glow with a golden rim zoomed like a hawk onto the attacking figure that was Jinx. Only the odd echo of the whirring blade snapped his attentions elsewhere and, as if his reflexes were as springy as he felt, he began to spin as he dropped himself into a crouch. The Heavy Blade lifted his weapon at a rather obtuse angle and the large, oddly shaped blade of the bunny clanged loudly against it. Even though the impact had his palm vibrating and his own weapon tossed from his grip, he had placed it just the position to send the pseudo boomerang spinning in a way that would normally cause such a thing to lose its acrobatics. Would it work? God, he hoped so. If anything, the slight distraction would give others the a second or two more to collect their thoughts and execute a plan.

Hijinx scoffed at this frail heavy blade's attempt. He had spent most of the fight standing around and acting like his brain was attacking his other organs, having tantrums and generally being inept. His pitiful attempt to stop her would just have to be used against him. Maybe she would even rip his arm off if she really poured on the speed. The heavy blader rabbit barreled into it with complete disregard, wobbling for a moment and looking back at him with a sadistic smile. Then she noticed the long arm, or more importantly, her ice storm. It wasn't meant to cause harm, that was obvious. This was meant to freeze her, and she wasn't about to have any of that.

Dismounting her blade, Hijinx slid to a stop with the blade spinning wilding in front of her. A quick snapping motion turned it sideways, making it a temporary shield. As the ice reached her, the rabbit took a knee and whirled the hilt around in front of her. Responding to the motions of the tool, the blade spun faster and lowered, catching the frost for her. Steamed by the attempt, Hijinx made another quick jerking motion and the blade re-attached itself. A fast half slash threw the ice off the edge and cast it to the ground. This long-arm, Tokki, she didn't look like the ranged type. Her blood boiling with anticipation, Hijinx slammed the blade into the wall, sticking it effectively in place until she retreived it. This was going to be a fist fight, and she LOVED to fist fight. The rabbit chuckled and cracked her knuckles as she advanced slowly towards Tokki, ready to really let loose on this woman...

Tokki took the advance personally. The renegade rabbit-like twin blade, Hijinx, was coming after her visibly upset that the queen of ice had made such an obvious attempt at freezing her over. Not one to back out of a fight, Tokki pulled a backwards loop-de-loop in mid air, and swooped in towards Hijinx with a face as stoic as ever. The wings contracted as she made her high-speed descent; she pushed her momentum hard to the right, sending her body into a barrell roll as it came upon Hijinx. She balled up, and leaned forwards, making herself tuck into a misty spin-- her mistglaive, in it's water form, following her every move. At the last moment, she untucked herself, and stretched forth, lancing out with her now hardened mistglaive towards Hijinx's face, the three sharp, jagged blades of ice extending into the rabbit's face.

Hijinx was prepared for a counter-attack, but the abrupt style of Tokki's offensive forced her to switch maneuvers. Hijinx quickly leaned to her left, avoiding all of the lancing damage save for an instant gash that the rightmost blade on the icy weapon caused on her face. Tokki had blurred by the twin blade turned fist fighter, and landed palms-first on the cool stone floor behind her ex-companion. She leaned hard into her palms, bent her elbows, and flipped up to a standing position behind Hijinx. The rabbitine player had already turned around, and with a look of fury that knew no end, lifted a swift kick into Tokki's stomach. Tokki let out a soft "oof", and grabbed the twin blade's ankle, using it to lift the player high into the air. Hijinx spun laterally in Tokki's grasp, and brought her other foot around and smashed it into Tokki's left cheek, freeing herself from the ankle lock. Hijinx landed in front of Tokki, and narrowed her devilishly sly looking eyes-- those amber orbs piercing into the ice queen as she wiped a small amount of blood that looked anything but digitized from her delicate face.

It was as if these first few attacks performed by each side were prequels to the real thing, for the action turned up several notches after Hijinx's kick to Tokki's face. Tokki spat angrily to her side, leaving a small globule of bloodied saliva on the ground. She nodded in Hijinx's direction, before advancing once more, bringing the Mistglaive around in a wide overhand arc towards Hijinx's shoulder. The rabbit player swiftly stepped right, and then leaned back to dodge the long arm's follow up swipe. The arch in her back was low, and she placed her black furry hands on the stone floor, and used her momentup to flip kick upwards towards Tokki's chin. Tokki gasped, and stepped back from the girl momentarily. As Hjinx flipped around, Tokki slammed the brunt end of her Mistglaive into her spine, sending her harshly into the floor, skidding several feed.

She was like a cat. Never, did Hijinx stay on the ground-- she bounced right back and begun her attacks agian. Tokki found it extremely difficult to continuously dodge all of Hijinx's blows-- as the fluidity in her motion was incredible. It was as if Hijinx was a professional dancer. Tokki and Hijinx traded blows for a while. Tokki breathing had quickened, when she came around with a hard blow to the ribs with the mistglaive, and Hijinx caught the weapon, and slung Tokki over her shoulder. Tokki, in mid air, changed the end of the mistglaive that Hijinx was gripping to water, freeing it, and landed on the feet hard. She turned the mistglaive completely into water as she landed, and begun flpping hard away from Hijinx, putting distance between them. Her backflips were amazingly fast, and within notime no less than 40 yards were between her and the Rabbit. The bridge over the river in Mac Anu was between them, and Tokki focused her glowing sapphire eyes on the rabbitine twin blade. Hijinx cracked her neck, and bolted towards the Long Arm. It was amazing-- no player had ever advanced on her this quickly; Tokki's focus would have to be perfect. As Hijinx got to the bridge, the molecules of water Tokki had called upon converged on her legs as quickly as possible-- her impetuous reaction was pertinent to stopping Hijinx before anyone else was hurt.

The rabbit neared, and the closer she got, the more thick the ice around her legs became. Tokki could feel the beads of sweat forming on her forehead, and then freezing instantaneously. She furrowed her brow, and gritted her teeth hard as she somehow pleaded inwardly with the water she was willing around Hijinx's fast moving legs to stop the renegade twilight infectee. As chance would have it, that fourty yards was enough, for a mere four steps before Hijinx came upon Tokki's slender frame, her movements became too slow for Hijinx's final blow to be carried out successfully, and an opening showed itself. The mistglaive extended, and Tokki grasped it's intricate handle before thrusting it hard into Hijinx's chest, impaling her heart. Hijinx sputtered, grunted, and much to Tokki's chagrin, smiled menacingly. Before her last tick of HP depleted, Hijinx actually thrusted herself further down the shaft of the mistglaive, shortening the distance between her and the long arm. Tokki's eyes widened, and Hijinx raised a fist, and pummeled the queen of ice hard in the face, sending her and the mistglaive into the ground.

But the damage was done, and through squinted eyes, trying to fight off the pain of the last attack she had received, Tokki watched the player slump lifelessly to the floor.

The form of the rabbit flashed for a brief second as the music in the root town turned into static. As the harsh noise continued, the heavy blade and her weapon turned into data and merged together, shifting into a small glob of information and shooting away from tokki. It bounced off a nearby wall with a ping and fell to the ground, glowing an assortment of colors that slightly resembled green. The sphere didn't lie there as most would have hoped though, instead, it stretched and expanded, making a new form of the rabbit.

As the glow softened and eventually vanished, it left behind a player with the same design as their twin-blade. However, this one was wearing extremely baggy jeans and green sneakers, along with a white t-shirt and a sleeveless orange vest that only went as low as her belly button. The new one had a blade-master's sword at her side, which she tapped on several times. The static became clearer with every touch, becoming music instead. She smiled at everyone and blew a bubble, apparently she had gum stashed somewhere. The rabbit hunted through what sounded like various blasts of music until she found what she was looking for, tapping her weapon with two fingers to lock the song. Her feet began to tap the ground as she nodded her head repeatedly. Moving with the beat, she danced gracefully in circles and taunted them all, challenging the group to come and fight her.

Tokki got to her feet slowly after the final blow from Hijinx sent her skidding accross the cool, hard pavement at the gate side of the Mac Anu river. A slender hand wiped away a drop of blood that leaked from the corner of pursed lips. A dull, aching pain formed in her jaw that she owed to the rabbitine character who had been among the few to actually hit the queen of ice for anything above miniscule damage during a head-to-head duel. Tokki was more enthralled by the idea of such an adversary rather than irritated by what she lacked in that fight. After all, she had dealt the finishing blow to her foe-- at least, what she thought was the finishing blow. As she stood expecting to be able to sigh in relief along with the rest of her party at the defeat of the twin blade turned heavy blade, the fallen figure of Hijinx suddenly changed into a large globule of data that seemed to be changing rapidly into something else.

As Tokki stared into the ball of data that undoubtedly signified that their troubles were far from over, a sudden wave of panic, followed by a dizzying wave of nausea overtook her. Her legs became rubbery, and she nearly fell into the floor again. Her eyes rolled back into her head momentarily, then righted themselves again. They shook back and forth, and she found herself unable to focus on anything before her. The ball of data, from what she could tell, was bouncing around rapidly-- but that could have been just her mind playing tricks on her. Her eyes couldn't keep still. Violent shivers racked her body, and the mistglaive, which normally floated effortlessly at her whim along side her begun to stagger about in the air awkwardly. Tokki's grasp over the weapon obviously was anything but at the moment. She shook her head as if to shake off the nausea and weakness that surged through her petite frame-- to no avail.

Her comrades being preoccupied with Hijinx's death and eminent rebirth had no time to be paying attention to her weakness. She groaned inwardly, and in the brief instants where the unshakeable dizziness subsided, she found herself trying to piece together why this was happening to her. Was it freezing Hijinx's legs? Doing it in such a quick period of time was quite difficult, she had to admit. But attempting to augment the mastery of her manipulation abilities had never had this kind of adverse effect on her. Not even during her training in Wetslum. The wings? Was using her wings straining a new side of her mind that had yet been dormant within her? It didn't seem so. Using those new appendages required no new motor skills, she had noticed easily. It simply felt like she'd had them her whole life.

So what was it? Just then, another wave of dizziness and nausea took her over, and she caught herself stumbling into the stone wall lining the stairs to the left of the Mac Anu bridge. She descended, or rather slid down the stairs, dragging her body along the rough surface of the wall. Tokki swaggered by the Elf Haven NPC, and then dropped to the floor, those weak legs suddenly giving out and causing her to crumple to the floor in a relative jumbled mess. On the floor, after letting go of her control over every part of her body save her mind, she found it much easier to put together thoughts. She stared over the edge of the Mac Anu river and at the group of fighters on the other side, preoccupied with Hijinx's data which seemed to have taken the form of a dancing blademaster.

Tokki didn't allow herself to move even an inch. She let slack every muscle in her body. Her mouth lay agape, and not once did she blink. She just lost herself in thought. A subtle wind swept low to the floor over the ground, and particles of dirt, broken leaves, and blades of grass were carried along the ground by her face. The gentle breeze blew a lock of hair that had fallen lazily over her face back out of her vision. The breeze... felt nice.

Have I pushed myself too far? Have I overstepped an invisible boundary? It was a feeling Tokki had begun to recognize about herself, but quickly dismissed whenever it crept into her mind. The inabilty to control herself when it came to confronting challenges. Testing her limits in battle. Taking on any adversary, no matter how daunting the task seemed. This lack of control was nothing more than a weakness in her eyes, and accepting said weakness was not something she would readily do. But was not accepting it having a more direct affect on her than she had realized? It was something she had put behind her before it could even be pondered subconsciously. She was responsible for every action she took, and she did so with absolute conviction that they were necessary and rational. Taking on Hijinx head to head-- rational and necessary. Attempting to take out Melzas with the help of Mizu after being snapped from her blind allegiance to him-- rational and necessary. Taking on some of the best fighters in The World in the Invitational Tournament-- rational and necessary.

She was fighting off the real, truthful answer to all of these even now. Even now-- it was like she was in denial. Denial in the depths of your mind is incredibly weak, however. In the presence of others, admitting these things has other effects outside of self-realization. But denying yourself the truth-- that is pathological. In essence, she could say she was right. It is good to be competitive. To have self-confidence. To push yourself to not be weak. But in reality, if such a thing could exist within this game, it was not right. After being infected by the twilight and being trapped within this game, such risks were foolish. When dying within the game can mean permanent consequences on your body outside of The World, decisions such as those were reckless.

So what was keeping her from the use of such obvious logic? It was something deeper. A side of her that her family and friends had always known about her. A deep, residual need to be perfect, to be number one. Her narcsissim amazed everyone but herself. And without this necessary self-realization, she would never have any control over this dark, weakness....

As Tokki lay dazed on the floor of Mac Anu, she shut her eyes tight, and opened them once more. Her vision focused intensely, and she found the wave of awkwardness had subsided permanently. She stayed fixed upon a dandelion protruding out from the crack in the pavement swaying gently in the passing breeze.

Was it necessarily a weakness? At times, it can be a weakness, as she just noticed in her fit of mind spasms moments ago-- but for the most part, it had been a strength. She rarely ever lost a fight, she rarely ever was hit in battle, and she had somehow become one of the most feared players in the world on this attitude. There had to be a good in all of this bad if such a prominent run was possible. Why cast aside something that has made her so strong, and kept her alive for so long? Tokki pressed her open palms into the ground, and brought herself to her feet once more. She brushed off the particles of debris on her front side, and spread her white wings. Pushing off from the ground hard, she flapped her newly acquired appendages for a subtle boost, sending herself onto the roof of the Haven once more. She landed casually, and about faced.

From above would she watch for now. Whether or not she would accept her aggressive side and allow it to run rampant at times was undecided thus far. What she did know, was that she didn't want what just happened to happen any time soon, so the controlled side of the Ice Goddess of Twilight would have to maintain for now. Arms crossed over her chest, Tokki looked on.

ooc: This post is pretty much forced; I am not in the mood to post after an different issue I am not going to discuss. I wasn't ready to post either, but ohh well. etc etc blah

Growling with her face burried within 3 feet of stone; Vera thought of a plan of action. She began to think evil thoughts of the whole team being slaughtered; yes those were nice for right now. On the plus side she hadn't been killed by the weapon or by Hijinx; she had just been smashed into the stone and even left of crater. As her head came up from the hole she began to her strange music before shaking herself off and staring at the river. "Ani Kruz" she said and repeated for several minutes untill she had wasted all of her SP, but casted enough Ani to fill four whole chambers. It would be a while before she could recast, but it did cross her mind that only two Mage's Souls could fill her SP; though for now she would simply wait and let it recharge naturally.

Walking again; her pace was slow and steady. Her eyes half closed as she took out two health drinks and downed them quickly restoring her back to full health. She had a feeling someone had caused the insane rabbit to go through another change, but with music this time? She began to worry as to what had happened. Her fox tail and ears began to sway again in the wind as she grinned and showed her teeth. Things were getting fun and the gunner would not let this chance pass her by.

Smiling the red haired fury watched as the dancing rabbit had been reborn to the blademaster class. There was a soft chuckle in the air as she kicked off the wall and onto a roof. She had no intention of fighting yet, but would watch and subtley aid if it was needed, but in the end she wouldn't fight till it got worse. "Hey Hijinx; kill them all! Start with the people who seem to deal damage. Kill Tokki then Nighthand and Nall!!" she yelled out with her fist in the air as she cheered on Hijinx.

Nall fell to the ground after his attempt at damaging the rampaging Hijinx with a couple of high leveled scroll's. Not only was he still in pain from the previous attacks, but he was having after-effects from trying to merge them together. Nall's pain was quickly pushed to the side by rage as the elusive rabbit found away to escape unscathed. He growled low in the back of his throught.

"What's going on? I can't do anything..."
Nall fell to the ground, on his back, staring into the sky. His body ached with extreme pain. No matter what he told himself, or others, he couldn't control his powers. But even without his power's, Jinx shouldn't have been a problem.

Nall lied on the ground for a while, thinking and letting events happen around him. He sat up just in time to see Tokki impale the rabbit. Nall's mouth dropped as he stared towards the grappling players. Hijinx was reduced to data, and Tokki was still alive.

"Tokki..? How..?"
Nall paused, staring. Everyone had gotten so much stronger while he'd been hunting. Their power's had always been shrouded under his own. But what if whatever happened here happened elsewhere? What if this was somehow caused by someone? Nall was completely uncoordinated without time. He had been so used to it just lying dormant in his system that now, without it there, it was like trying to learn how to walk again.

The new Hijinx appeared, tapping her foot on beat. Nall looked at the rabbit slightly confused. Nall wasn't a rocket scientist. Hell, he could barely pass for a high school graduate. But he realized by the motion's of the new rabbit that she was most likely goona dance circles around them. Nall on the otherhand, was off beat to begin with. He groweled once again.

"Hey Hijinx; kill them all! Start with the people who seem to deal damage. Kill Tokki then Nighthand and Nall!!"

Nall glared over at Vera. She appeared to be playing stupid so Hijinx would leave her alone for a bit. But then again, she probably wouldn't mind watching everyone get hurt. Nall turned his eyes back to the rabbit in front of him.

His body had stopped throbbing now. He could feel his energy once again pumping through his veins. His amulet was still not functioning, but his 'well' of energy had replenished. Nall looked at his hand for a moment and started laughing loud and obnoxiously. Everyone, including the new hip-hop hijinx looked over towards the Blademaster on the ground. He stood up, still laughing like he lost his mind.

"Hahaha! I'm not as easy to kill anymore... You'll have to deal a lot more damage then that Jinxy-poo!"
The group looked shocked to see Nall talk like that. His personality was changing worse then a 16 year old girl going through PMS on a sugar high. Nall gave his most smug smile towards the new Hijinx as he recklessly dash forward again.

"You can't kill me..."
Nall had left his weapon on the ground where he laied. He was confident that he did not need anything other then his hands and feet. Nall was rushing at a blinding speed. He had caught his second wind, and felt ready to make Jinx feel it.

(OOC: Jinx, you can talk to me after if I'm on, or if not, don't worry about what I've said in my post, do what we discussed ^^)

Blade-master Hijinx laughed loudly and pleasantly, her job was relatively simple. Nall closed distance pretty quickly and went for a baseball slide, coming at her feet first. People at his level usually didn't make dumb moves, he had a plan of some sort. Giving the attack as much consideration as time would allow, she did what any self respecting player would do if they were trying to dance and somebody was trying to tackle them. A light hop brought her half of the length of his legs and provided her with a clue to his intentions. As his arms started to move to grab her legs, she lowered a foot and made contact with his unmentionables, rotating quickly and stepping on his face in his moment of weakness. As he continueed to slide forward, she continued the motion and did a rolling backwards somersault to the ground, landing gracefully with the music's beat.

An extremely brief half-second brought a furious Nall to a stop, followed by an equally angry rise to his feet. Faking a forward dash, he punched the ground and caused a small quake. Instinct kicked in instantly. A light twirling hop brought her in range and over the shockwave. Kicking straight up and flipping backwards, she caught him under the chin with a hard kick. It was true that the blow was probably nothing to him, but he didn't seem like the type that would know how to fight her, so in the long run she could win. There were 2 people who could do it though, they had the music in their eyes, and the one seemed almost resentful for it.

Nall's head pointed skyward for a moment after the blow landed but quickly dropped down to an appropriate level. He once again went for his quaking punch as he growled, but came up with something new this time. When he hit, he launched a large rock into the air. Snatching it from the air at chest height, he hurled it at the rabbit who appeared mildly surprised. However, he still didn't know how to beat her. A diagonal handspring backwards allowed the rock to fly safely over but dangerously close to her stomach as she landed on her hands and pushed up.

Making a full roatation and putting the signiture ears to the sky, she partly drew her blade and slid it back into it's sheath. Neon arrows appeared at everyone's feet and began flashing. Immediately after that, a high speed techno song blared, replacing the original one. All of the arrows stopped flashing and developed a pattern, following the music. Now it was time to see if the music really did hide behind those two player's frames.

OOC:OKAY! DDR, hijinx style! Every missed beat is equal to a slash from the blade in terms of damage, so no slouching! Also, if you lose, an obnoxious voice will say mean things about your dancing skills! The arrows will move with you as long as you keep step so you can still close distance!

Watching on as Hijinx changed and started attacking in a new form, Hacorie’s eyes almost bugged out at the DDR like dancer. Soon after, a few neon glowing arrows appeared beneath the feet of Hacorie followed by strange music that was different from the last. This music though was familiar for when he was outside the game and the arrows he also saw before. It was just like Dance Dance Revolution, but this was not that game. Smiling on the roof, Hacorie let the arrows flash by as a voice started criticizing him.

I do not dance inside a game, sorry.

Laughing at the irritable squeaky sound, Hacorie stood up form his laying down position and looked over the building. Opening his arms wide, Hacorie fell forward. Tucking his knees to his stomach, Hacorie did a single flip and then hit the ground feet first. After the double sound of feet tapping the ground, Hacorie placed his hand on his new sword. It was finally time to test it out. Withdrawing the katana fully, Hacorie smiled at the dancing Jinx who was actually quite good at DDR.

Just keeping a smirk on his face, the Heavy Blade slanted his sword back behind him where the hilt was parallel to his side. Taking one step forward, he thought of two spells which would be cast in succession to one another. Rue Kruz! Rue Rom! The two glyphs quickly burst from his body and were sent to the dancing rabbit creature. Soon afterwards, these two spells started to show their stuff as the tornado upped leaving Jinx out of Hac’s line of sight, and other shards of ice started to surround the concentration of violent winds with a mixture of ice..

This is my chance

Taking advantage of the no sight, Hacorie cast another spell on himself. It was from his helmet, the Precision Helmet which was on lend to him from Kiwi, leader of the Swordbreakers. This spell was commonly known amongst everyone, Ap Do. This spell increased the speed of one person. The speed was almost double the user’s original. Thus, they could be a threat. Taking all of this new add stuff to him, Hacorie rushed in with the little remaining SP he had, since he had depleted it and then recovered it little by little as the actions happened while he was idle on the roof.

Nearing the gigantic tornado of ice shards and swirling sickles of ice around it slowly converging inward, Hacorie started to pull open a gap with his powers. He soon stopped though and stood right on the outskirts of the tornado. The blue cloaked Heavy Blade then sheathed the Oceanic Aura. He quickly put his hands in front of him with palms facing inward. Slowly he started to focus on the tornado and ice around it. Hac then forcibly started forcing his palms near each other. The outskirts of the tornado and converge spells slowly started to creep inwards to maximize the damage to the target, which had hopefully not escaped by some miracle.

Please Work!

Lighteria blinks. His lasso attack had been glanced over as though it never even happened. The rope falls to the ground limp and usless.

Rightly miffed, Lighteria glares at the rabbit and growls.

Why you little... fine. You don't want to be stopped peacfully? I WON'T stop you peacefully.

Lighteria pulls out his raitei, decidedly the best weapon to use against the dark rabbit. He glares and starts walking forward when suddenly Tokki rushes into the scene and essentially ***-rapes the crazed player. Lighteria watches, a tad stunned as the rabbit suddenly changes forms again, this time into something almost reminicent of richard simmons, only slightly less gay and much more blade-weildy. At this point, any sane person would leave or at least call the local gym 'escaped-trainer' police, but in this game, Lighteria decides to stay and simply kick her butt the only was he knows how... ...With his foot.

He starts rushing up towards the rabbit but stops in his tracks when he sees Tokki attacking her again. The twin blade blinks, amazed she's still ready to fight after taking out the first form. No wonder she's a legend among the vangaurds and elsewhere. Deciding to stay out of the way, Lighteria goes back to the lamp post and sits to watch the fight. However, hijinx makes it clear that this is not a spectator sport. Multi colored arrows suddenly appear where Lighteria is sitting as music suddenly sounds out in his ears, arrows appearing in his vision.

What the!? It can't be?! DDR?

DDR 2cd Mix- Track 22: "Get up 'n move"

Unconsiouly, his foot taps to the beat.

Get up 'n move!!
The beat fills his ears and the player jumps to his feet, his body bobbing up and down in synch with the song.
S&K can make ya... Get up 'n move
An up arrow rises from the bottom of his vision. The player half-smiles and taps his foot in front of him as it hits the top and flashes.
Hold on tight as I make you fly, way up high be right by my side
Pretty soon a multitude of arrows rise from the bottom. Lighteria grins and claps his hands to a cymbol crash as his feet hit the left and right arrows. He pumps his fists to the side, his feet moving as best as they can to match the arrows. Luckily, he knows the song.
A critical danger body's pumpin', Feet just stompin' heartbeat thumping.
Right left up up up up. Right left down down down. He nods his head to the beat, dancing inch by inch closer to Hijinx and the attacking Hacorie.
I feel something moving me fast, S&K gonna make it last A dope track go you screaming for, Something more than just dancefloor
With a double right left motion, Lighteria casts an Ap Do spell on himself, making his feet move faster, allowing him to hit the arrows more accurately with less worry about not being fast enough to catch up with the beat. The spell makes him vulnerable for a moment though, making him miss an arrow, a little nik in his cheek being the punishment. That cut ends the pain though as the spell and his natural class speed see him through.
More than dopesounds I can hit ya,
With a spin, the up arrow flashing beneath his feet, the twin blade steps forward, hacorie's spell ending, letting Lighteria throw a forward punch at the rabbit.
Come get down the music pitcher Unbelievable the way I flow, Don't need a band gonna kick it solo
Of course, his attack doesn't stop, his feet switch postitions to the side arrows and he executes a back flip-kick, his hands landing on the right and left arrows as he lands and the arrows flash.
Me and K, I mean K and I, Jammin' track we're gonna make you fly It's brandnew now that you gonna do when Sugadaddy hits the groove
He twists in mid air, placing his hand on the left arrow and letting his body fall in an arc to side kick and stop on the back arrow as it flashes, the momentum giving him enough power for a cartwheel kick, his hands hitting the up and down arrows as he spins.
Get up 'n move!! S&K can make ya... Get up 'n move!!
Halting his attack for the repeats, he bounces to the beat, his hands waving in front of him both defensively and for show.

OOC: Sorry about that lighteria, I'm sure I meant to put that in at the time, but i was a bit distracted. Anyway, on to the post! Oh, and congrats to lighty for playing the game and managing to meet the requirements. Hacorie, you die :D !

Rolling her eyes at the spell, or spells as she began to notice the second casting, Hijinx slapped the flats of her palms on the ground, matching the beat with perfect timing. As she gave her body a throw to the side, she rolled on to her back, counter spinning the tornado. She scoffed a little as the shards of ice came through, they were even easier to avoid since the fool wasn't using any rythm. Twisting upwards into a hand stand, she contorted herself around the frozen water and laughed. Someone was playing her game and still attempting an attack, a tricky manuever at best. Deflecting the punch with a kick, she rotates quickly and flips backwards, hitting arrows as she went to avoid the kick.

The song rolled to a stop, which induced a round of appluase from the rabbit. Hijinx raised a hand to the side of her head and made a pretend gun with her fingers. Lowering her arm and pointing at Hacorie with the fake weapon, she acted like she blew him away, blowing non-existant smoke off her finger tip. All of the damage Hac would have received from the missed steps struck him at once, dropping him where he stood. As he grayed and became a ghost, the rabbit spun around and stubbed her toe on rubble left over from the previous battle. Letting out a holler, she fell over and grasped her foot. Tears welled up in her eyes for a few seconds as she sniffled. A moment later, she was bawling and rolling around on the road, screaming and acting like a child.

"You're all mean! I'm leaving!"

With a puff of smoke, she was gone, leaving a black curtain where she had been previously. The sky darkened and pouring rain began to fall from ominous clouds, leading into the the begnning stages of the Mac Anu flooding. A forbodding sense engulfed the town as all eyes fell to the shroud.

The song ends. Lighteria's legs give out.

Geez... that was more footwork than I use in a hacker battle....

His attacks had served as a distraction at least, but the rampaging rabbit was back in top form again, not even winded from the mini dance-a-thon. Before anyone could even readjust their vision from the eye-raping neon blinking arrows ad backgrounds that will most likely forever accompany DDR and all its rip-offs, Hijinx goes back on the offensive, killing Hacorie with what seems like a gunshot, only not. The timid twinblade gasps at the sight, attempting to get up and aid him only to have his knees buckle and keep him sitting for another second.

Dah man... I need more practice at this.

Once again, he attempts to rise to his feet, this time succeeding. He turns his head to the crazed Hijinx just as she stubs her toe on a rock. Lighteria's battle stance fades instantly as he watches the player whine and run around like a child. A large sweat drop falls from the back of Lighteria's head as he stands watching, a bit dumbfounded.

"You're all mean! I'm leaving!" She screams out. Lighteria raises a finger to point out that she was the one attacking, but before his words of wisdom can be bestowed, the zany player vanishes in a puff of smoke, leaving behind a simple, black curtain. As the team gazes in confusion, the roar of distant thunder can be heard and black clouds start to roll in. Lighteria takes a few steps backwards, away from the curtain, to watch the sky as droplets of rain fall from the heavens. Unfortunately, the drizzle quickly escalates into a downpour, rains beating down on the trapped players like tiny little rubber bullets... only not so tiny and instead of rubber they're made of water... which is arguably much less painful... ...ok so it's not at ALL like rubber bullets but it IS annoying, enough so that Lighteria seeks shelter under a nearby store awning. Only after taking a few moments to wring out his shirt does he notice the waterway getting more turbulent by the second. Turbulent and... slightly higher? He blinks, watching the river showing no signs of letting up and he weighs his options.

That could be trouble... ...Though I could simply transform into an aura. I don't breathe in aura form and I'd eventually reform after the danger's passed... Ah... that's no good. I have to stay here with the others and help... There's the pets to think about... where Hijinx went to... and what we'll do about this rain. I know a few ways to get up on the roofs if it comes to that... boy it'd better not.

He sighs. "This'd better not be her idea of a shower..." He says to himself.

Jinxy Jinxy Jinxy... Why can't you be normal...

Nighthand really wasn't very enthused about this battle. He'd just been through a lot with Reinier, Verona, and the whole cast of his life. He was tired, and didn't want to fight.

Oh, and Hacorie was dead. Again.

Nighthand sighed and drew another one of his Ressurrects from his and tossed it at the ghost, revivng him. Then he slumped against the wall. Even though he'd been ignoring the DDR-thing, it still took a bite from his health.

I never liked DDR... this only gives me more reason to hate it.

You could end it, you know... It's powerful enough.

I know... I just don't think I want to reveal it at the moment.

Understandable, I guess... Wait for a hacker, surprise them. Isn't the Soul Shrine protected?

Yeah. The hacker's can't access it... Hell, no one can access it without good reason. It was pretty much luck I was allowed into it in the first place.

The sky darkened, the river roiled, and a black curtain appeared where Hijinx disappeared.

Le Sigh... More antics... Ah well. I'll let them handle it, I'm too tired.

Nighthand walked off, turning his back on the battle, Hijinx, and everyone. Turning into another side alleyway, he quickly scaled the wall and perched himself on the rooftops. He kept an eye on the battle and a hand in his scroll pouch, but more for protection than for offense.

I suppose I'll step in if it get's too hairy... Nighthand thought, settling down against the slanted roof to watch.

(...yeah.)

"Ashes to ashes..."

The curtain, made of a soft velvet, swept in circles around a person before clinging to the frame loosely. This new form didn't appear to happy though, it's face was stuck in glaring apathy. Pure hatred reached from the cold red eyes as they scanned the environment, peircing the flesh and sending shivers down the bone, eyeing all with equal contempt and disgust. The rain splattered on her shoulders a little and failed to induce a reaction. Her eyes, as was expected of her nature, shifted from pupils into blood red targeting recticles, appraising everyone a second time.

Standing at menacing 5' and 8", the form was relatively normal looking. It had no tail and no fur, it had normal human ears, attached to a cold face with soaked black hair that tumbled over her shoulders and stopped at chest height. Slender and well formed she stood there with benevolence, like a fallen queen who had not lost her pride. From inside her cloak she produced a wand, but by no means a standard one. It was shaped like a viper, long and black, curling from the ground to roughly six inches above her hand; at the base, wrapped securely, was a large crystal rose which shimmered in the gloom. A sudden breeze caught the garment and made it flutter in the wind, revealing a shapely body wrapped in golden armor and adorned with various runes and designs. The wave-mistress raised her head to sky and frowned, letting it pelt her face for a moment before decidely lowering her gaze to Nall with a hopefull sigh.

"And dust to dust? What a pitiful line."

She shook her head at the last part, almost looking insulted.

"So you beat the others, congratulations. What does it matter if one is a coward and the other slaughters herself for the sake of a punch? You DID win after all, even if some of you couldn't even beat the fool."

A purposefully slow step over hacorie's reviving form gave that mystery away as she appoached the blademaster, measuring him and gingitsune separate with the eyes of a murderer.

"You two are the strongest then? Fine...if I have to get rid of you to achieve a goal, so be it..."

Holding the staff towards nall, she glared at his face and waited. Somebody would attack, that was bound to happen. Lowering her voice so only Nall could hear, she whispered.

"Even monkies learn how to acknowledge a threat eventually..."

OOC: Last one! I promise to make this quick, since it's slightly extended.

Nall took beating after beating, trying his best to smile while recieving it. DDR-Hijinx wasn't paticulairly strong, but she was fluent with he moves, and Nall was not.

Nall had to concentrate on the arrow's below him. Normally, he'd be able to AAA this song, it was pretty simple. But he was missing nearly every beat.

"Boo."

Nall growled. He couldn't move towards Hijinx let alone dance. Pain seered through his body, a little bit at a time.

"Do you gotta cold? *cough cough*"
Nall snareled

"Yes I do you stupid AI piece of shit game!!"
Nall slamed his right foot into the ground creating a tiny crator and small tremor. To his disgust, the arrow's were still there. To his amazement, he actually hit the proper arrow.

"You're all mean! I'm leaving!"

Nall didn't even notice Lighteria defeat the new Hijinx. However, he was pleased that the silly game was gone. Nall slumped to the floor and pouted. He was getting extremely frustrated. Not only could he not do anything productive, but he was getting shown up by everyone else. The sky's grew dark and Nall realized he had another chance. He watched as the new Wavemaster Hijinx came towards him with a sadistic grin. She pointed her interesting staff towards Nall and whispered.

"Even monkies learn how to acknowledge a threat eventually..."

Nall burst out laughing. He stood up from where he sat and growled.

"Indeed. Too bad I'm not a monkey, and too bad you're not a threat."
Nall rushed forward, again, towards the wavemaster. His strength wasn't completely recovered. He had been using it too often. Nall didn't care and rushed forward, full tilt.

The wavemaster stood there and waited for him to come. Nall came forward, looking to tackle Jinx. As usual, Jinx was ready to counter. However, this time Nall had activated his cape, and went right through the rabbit and her counter. He quickly turned around and slashed horizontally at her back. Nall growled as he made his attack. He was tired of losing.
