"I didn't. This was supposed to be a cage for someone VERY important," with an answer like that Tempest could only stare on in confusion as the rabbit ran off into a room Tempest had not noticed before. Within moments Hijinx came soaring out of the room in a plane of all things. Still sitting at the bar Tempest was still in the dark about what was going on, until Raicho began to squawk as a berraish of bullets began to plummet toward the sandy beach.

As Tempest snapped back into reality or what was as close as she was going to get to reality she saw seven Goblins soaring through the sky in planes that were identical to Hijinx’s. Tempest looked to the others then to Raicho, her eyes filled with worry, confusing, and shock, emotions racing through her mind so quickly. Raicho what is going Hijinx did something to the ground with some type or gun or something. And once that happen those goblins popped up and in planes. Tempest could hear Hijinx;’s voice echo out as she said “Come on everyone, lets play.” Play is this some sort of game, and with that thought another onslaught of bullets came hurdling toward the ground. Causing sand and dust to shoot into the air. Tempest finally got up out of her set hand on her whip, “Game or no game this is getting pretty dangerous.” Before she could act on the impulses driving her, she witnessed Phoenix doing something to the plane that one of goblins was riding in.

It had shifted off course and hit the ground with an explosion but the goblin had made it out safely with a parachute on hand. In gently drifted down toward the island below. Until Phoenix had hit it with Ani Crack, the goblins body fell limp and turned grey. With that it was absorbed back into the system. With the end of the battle Tempest began her search of Hijinx’s plane in the sky, she noticed the player had hid behind a tree. Hijinx’s voice began to echo out once more with a warning about some time of ripple effect. This made Tempest begin to question her motive but she had little time to think before another attack on her and the others began as the remaining goblins began to fire on them once more. Argh this things are really annoying me you know that Well its their programing they can’t help it But still . . . . she was at a lose of words Raicho was right, she hated that. True well then why would Hijinx program them to behave in such a manner. It’s beginning to make me question myself about this player called Hijinx, is she friend or foe? She created this world, on top of that she was able apply her own rules to such a place and she is able to manipulate these creatures. What is she? Tempest thought as she gave Hijinx a concerned look out of the corner of her.

The bunny rabbit was cackling like a maniac at the moment, she had completely flipped her lid. Tempest had never been with her that long to seen such behavior, occasionally their were times when Hijinx was overly hyper or excited but nothing to this extreme. It was a whole new side to her that she didn’t want to encounter again. This isn’t a time to think it’s a time for action, but as she began to make her move once more it was Nighthand and this new person Vera that took a stand against their enemies. A bullet was fired from her Gun? Hit its target dead on. There appeared to be another force that was acting upon it and the plane. Tempest looked to Raicho Are you sure? Yes, I could see them surrounding the bullet as it hit the plane. Looking on at her surrounds Tempest noticed Nighthand in a different area of the island that he previously wasn’t at. Was it Nighthand the manipulated the bullet or was it Vera. This was all to much for Tempest grasp, first it was Hijinx with her world, then Phoenix with his powers and now these two.

All these players seemed to be different from any others players she had met before in one way or another. Of course they were all stuck in the world be it was something else they seemed to have be modified them a great deal. Completely changing the foundation on which their character data had been based on. “Alright I am not just going seat by anymore, it is really time for me to take action. But how, anything I do in this world well cause some sort effect. Just like . . . . Newton’s law of cause and effect”, she murmured to herself. Continuing she began to restate his theory “For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.” Pondering for a moment she finally came to realize what was going on. “That’s it” What is it ? “Her rule, its based on Newton’s law of cause and effect. Everything we do will cause and equal not if greater effect. So we just got be careful of what our cause is other wise our effect could be worse.” I think everyone else has figured that out by now don’t you think so. “Well yeah. ... . but we know now and we will be much more careful.” Raicho rolled his eyes and went along with whatever Tempest had planned. I guess the easiest and simplistic way of doing would be just to grab that slippery little devil of a goblin.

Alright then lets have at it. Tempest pushed off into the sand, her feet slowly sinking to the loose grains of sand below her. With her wings flapping she shot off into the air, a few feathers losing place and littering the skies and earth in the area with a multitude of crimson, black feathers. Once she had reach a good altitude she simply opened her wings to their max and caught an up draft. Tempest had spotted a plane containing a goblin within its confinements. “Alright here we go”, Raicho now soaring next to her. “I want you to go make a distraction” Raicho looked back at her What do you want me do to? “I don’t care just make sure that you get right in his face okay.” Raicho gave her nod of recognition and made his descent toward the goblin. The speed of the plane was going pretty fast and it took some effort on his part to catch up. But he made it, with a few flaps he just hovered in front of the goblin. The gob gave a curious look and then a sinister smirk appeared on its face. But before an action could take place the thunderbird’s beck began to peck rapidly at the gob. The goblin tried vigorously to get the bird out of its face but to no avail. The attack continued on, Raicho’s beck aiming for every and any available peace of flesh while his talons clawed away.

This was Tempest’s chance, she descended. Her wings curving inward so that she no longer caught the upward drift that kept her afloat. As she came closer to goblin she, decreased her speed until she came to a halt. The plane know began to circle her in every direction, first in vertical loop, then in horizontal, then a diagonal. Argh can’t it just make up its mind already choose which way you wanna go and stick with it will you Gesh. Finally the plan began to circle in one direction and remained that way. Tempest took hold of her Rose Whip and loosened it from its hook at her side. Its 12 foot length, stretched out trying to touch the ground, she began to twirl the whip above her head, giving it speed and momentum. It circled her head just as the plane continued circle around her. Alright Rai you can leave it alone now, pulling way the Thunderbird left its prey alone, leaving behind a very bloody and confused goblin. Its once ruff green skin had become horribly disfigured, as blood stained its face. Blood dripping down its eyes and rolling off the curves of its checks to its chin. That was the signal for Tempest to attack and with a flick of her wrist her whip went in the direction of the goblin. As its plane began to soar off into the opposite direction, the whip travel through the air reaching its target. It wrapped around the gob’s body the thorns piercing through the squashy flesh of the goblin.

Tempest took both hands and grabbed hold of her whip and yanked the goblin back. The plane continued its flight for a short period of time before it began to go into a tale spin. Quickly spinning around Tempest hurled the Goblin into the sandy beach below, and tried to quickly maneuver herself over to the plane before it hit the ground. “If its anything like Phoenix’s effect it could be bad . . . Arghhhhhhhhhh”, she shouted out as she pushed herself harder and harder to reach the plane before it met impact with the ground and its fiery doom. Her wings pumping themselves as fast they could. Her eyes began to water as the air began to force its way across her face, tears streaming from the sides of her eyes. “Damn it I am not going to make it maybe . . . no I can’t I have to keep going there is no quieting. I started this and I am going to see it through.” Stuck in complete free fall now and pushing herself to her limits Tempest finally began to catch up to the plane. The plane itself was relativity small comparison to other plane she had seen so she didn’t expect it to be to heavy when she grabbed held of its tail.

Flapping her wings she hoped to create some sort of down draft that would slow herself and the plane down. But it was failing she and the plane had been traveling to fast to slow down. Raicho I need your help with this. On it, got just the thing. A tornado began to appear beneath her and the plane, the upward force of wind and her downward push of air from her wings caused her and the plane to slow down much quicker. As the tornado began to dissipate Tempest could now land the plane safely. With the head gently rested on the ground followed by the tail, Tempest could now rest a little easier.

Clapping enthusiastically, hijinx jumped up and down in an almost impossibly cheerful way. "Congratulations! You all pass this portion of the test!" Raising a finger to say something farther, she frowned and let her eye twitch in obvious irritation as missiles streamed towards her in vast numbers. Turning sideways, hijinx growled as two of the weapons flew past her and harmlessly into the ocean. Spinning in circles and weaving, she avoided all but one of the balistic weapons. Snatching up a rock in each had while spinning, she hopped lightly into the air with a twist and landed smoothly on the rocket propeled explosive, urbosh being unhappily dragged along for the ride. He bubbled in aggitation as the rabbit stomped on the back of the missile, changing it's course abruptly and violently upwards while she clung to it with her claws and drove it towards the electrified plane. leaping deftly from the makeshift ride she smiled as urbosh clung to her back, prepared to fulfill his part of the manuever. Touching the handles of her masterblades with her finger tips the rabbitine player smiled cartoonishly wide and let loose.

"Thunder coil!"

The missile, entering the field of shrapnel, quickly became full of holes and exploded, causing the craft to spin wildly out of control. Simultaneously, the attack took it's effect as she shifted herself around another rocket and began to spin at a mind bending speed. Assuming the worst, the goblin dove under the bolts of coiled lightning and scoffed. He wasn't about to fly into that kind attack so easily. Hijinx only laughed harder as she released the first rock. With a flash and bang, the chunk of hardened earth crashed through the ships hull like thunder , tearing the delicate instruments into peices and destroying the ejection controls. The goblin screamed as it descended violently into the ocean with a splash and muffled bang. Picking up speed, the twin-blade relinguished her grasp on the second stone.

Pulling out of the dive hijinx had cast him into, the goblin snarled in fury and opened the restraints on his engine. Maybe his sub-ordinates were weak, but he couldn't stand to lose face in front of this character. He hurtled over the waves like a bat out of hell and came at hijinx without hesitation.

A loud whirring noise was becoming increasingly evident as hijinx spun faster aand faster. Instead of a player there was a large orb of energy spiraling in the sky. With a grunt and heave the stone shot forth. Before the goblin could blink, a ball of pure electric death swept over him, along with the fist sized stone which flew into the airplane but was instantly incinerated along with the rest of the goblin and his vehicle. A few ashes blew by as urbosh, who had been quietly waiting for the spinning to stop, turned into a paracute in a dizzy manner. No sooner then she had landed hijinx was at her bar and downing a martini. Urbosh slid off her back and splashed his way onto a seat next to her, where he burbled something at hijinx before turning into a mockery of the rabbit holding up a finger. Patting him on the head portion of his copied image, hijinx ran up to the door and raised her finger. "No more games tonight, enjoy your stay here in pandora, and try the bar(the martini's are perfect)!" With a snap of her fingers, everything became as if the battle had never even happened and the rabbit retreated into the house for "a restful period of unconsiousness".

The next morning, hijinx was waiting patiently by a cave with a shovel and miner's helmet.

Gingitsune lazily opened one violet eye and peered across her dark, shuttered room. Fractured beams of sunlight were battling with her wooden shades, and winning, pushing themselves greedily through the cracks and splashing against the walls with a warm, golden tint. Cybele cheerfully added to the unwanted sunlight with her vibrant yellow glow, and Gingitsune groaned, turning over.

Morning... the most vile word in the english language...
She lazily threw a blanket over Cybele, who, unbalanced, clattered to the floor with an angry hiss...
Hiss?
Suddenly Gingitsune remembered exactly where Jocasta had been sleeping...

Nothing less than a 15 minute barrage of teeth and claws from her insulted and injured guardian followed that one small accident, and Gingitsune flipped off the bed, pulling off her rather tattered nightgown, and replacing it with her usual cat-proof clothing.

She had skipped the plane test, instead exploring what she could of the island with Jocasta and Cybele, but she was determined to at least attempt Hijinx's need unpredictable challenge... it could be... fun? It would be a chance to train anyhow, she had slacked off with her Cybele coordination exercises, experiments to see if she could control her rather uncontrollable weapon, which had a mind of its own... and a decidedly undocile mind at that.

Skipping down the stairs Gingitsune hoped she'd encounter some other players in the house, or even Hijinx herself... Unfortunately, no one was at the landing...
Gingitsune grumbled violently to herself, stupid sunlight... made me get up too early... no one's up yet... damn you Jocasta...
Quickly peering into each of the rooms Gingitsune shrugged and decided to go for a walk to clear her head, and to wake her up a bit.

Five minutes later, shaking with silent laughter, Gingitsune stood in front of a cave, across from Hijinx. Jocasta was eyeing the cave with indignation, and grooming her pale gold fur.

The bar seemed like a pretty nice place to be... until Nighthand thought about what might happen if he lost his inhibitions. But then, the alcohol was digital. But, so was his body. Even though there were no digital rules for alcohol in the game... There also weren't rules for a lot of the things he was involved in. Living, for instance. There was no algorithm for Sleep, no function marked breathe... Yet sleep, and breathe, and everything else they did.

In the end, Nighthand opted to not drink. Even if the alcohol wasn't effective, he didn't enjoy it to begin with. So, why try?

Instead, Nighthand watched through the night, trying to figure out the rules of this ever-changing realm. When it became too much, he slept.

The sound of a ferocious cat woke him. He didn't recognize it, but a peek in the hall minutes later revealed Gingi and Jocasta. Good of them to arrive on the scene, he thought.

Stretching out and straightening his clothing, Nighthand followed the wavemistress by a half an hour, arriving by the cave and Hijinx with ample time.

"So, Jinxy, what's in store here?" the heavyblade asked, knowing the answer would likely be just as confusing as the rest. But you never know, maybe the rabbit would come clean.

OOC: Well, now that nall put a time limit on this place, we need to get moving really quick. Post whenever you have the chance. Sorry for the delay!

Hijinx had stood perfectly still for about an hour now and her leg was getting pretty stiff. Nighthand showing up had been predicted just like gingitsunes arrival. Now was as good a time as any to the rabbit, so she sprung into action with a piercing yippee. Realizing the noise came from behind them, they both turned around in time to see the real twinblade fall over the sand as if gravity were something that could be shifted about at will. Zipping past the pair with a whoosh, she pulled a lever on the cavern wall. The world instantly rotated sideways as they plummeted into the cave mouth just a few feet behind hijinx, who was apparently running down the caves walls and ceiling. Then everything changed at the drop of a hat from rocky cave walls to a perfectly circle tube of rainbow lights and swirls. Every step anyone made on the surface created ripples while remaining solid as stone. Hijinx smiled to herself with gleeful intent. They would find out about the mine littered stretch of the path soon, as well as the ap do effect that tripled on this particular roadway. The tunnel suddenly ended, and they instantly noticed the ground was paper thin even though it was clearly solid and appeared to go in in loops at a few parts. The other part was that they were in space and that the long road led to a very technological planet off in the distance. Bounding over a mine, hijinx began an acrobatic run, handspringing over another explosive and rolling upside down through the first loop. This part was always her favorite. Gingitsune had their attention drawn to a neon pink sign as it floated past. The sign was clearly an invention of hijinx and blinked "catch me if you can!" at them challengingly. At this point the road began to unfold behind them.

Nighthand was standing just fine, wondering where the rest of the group was, when the world turn on end.

Suddenly falling, his first instinct was to twist and face the ground, to prepare for landing. Facing the ground wasn't too hard. Landing turned out to be harder.

A few moments of falling through twisting mine shafts brought them to a psychadelic tunnel in nothingness.

"So this is what Jinxy's brain looks like..." SB commented inside him.

"I wouldn't be surprised." Nighthand replied.

Another indefinite period of falling later, and The group landed on a paper-thin but rock-hard lane, vaugely reminiscent of the classic Mario Cart level in the stars. Littered in mines, the road seemed to twist and curve through space like physics didn't exist.

"Of course, here, physics DON'T exist, do they..." Nighthand muttered.

Hijinx, ever at home with her creation, bounced off along the road, dodging mines and moving at an incredibly fast pace.

A floating neon sign indicated the goal was to catch the creature, so Nighthand started off. He didn't really plan of catching her, so much as reaching the point she stops.

The road behind him began to roll up, forcing everyone along the path.

An ambient speed boost lent extra speed to them, and Nighthand quickly realized where the rabbit had gotten her speed from.

"I estimate the effects of about three Ap Dos." SB cheerfully chimed in.

"Indeed, now let me do the running."

Nighthand took off, quickly finding his increased speed made it much harder to avoid the mines. He stepped next to one and it went off, the force of the blast and a well-times leap propelling him along the road high in the sky. He sailed over open space for a moment, as the road curved, but managed to land back on with a bit of a lead from where he had been.

As he landed, a stumble almost sent him flying off the edge. Recovering just in time, he continued his run. Adrenaline pumped through his data-made veins, and he found himself laughing.

"You know, this is almost fun!" he thought inwardly at SB

"Gee, thanks, I'll remember that next time it comes around."

Grinning and laughing, Nighthand put a little more effort into running and dodging, suddenly intent on catching the rabbit in her little game.

Phoenix began to wonder what was Hijinx's next challenge was until he lost his footing on the ground and fell as the world was flipped sideways. The entire world was changing on a whim as cavern walls became a tube of rainbow lights. He took a step and noticed the ground made a ripple eventhough it was solid. He also noticed the many mines litter along the tunnel. He realized that the physics of the tunnel were broken twice over. The rabbit began to run along the tunnel but her speed was not normal. She was faster than before. He noticed a neon pink sign saying "Catch Me If You Can!"

I guess this is a race. I always wanted to go on rabbit hunting season. With my powers, it will be easily to catch this rabbit. "Remember, the physics of this tunnel has been altered. Your powers may have changed with altered physics." Suzaku said to her master. But, it looks that gravity hasn't changed much. I won't use my powers on myself but on the rabbit. I still have the half-gravity field effect on me. So, let's begin the race and cast Ap Do on me.

The bird followed her master's commands and cast Ap Do on Phoenix. With the half-gravity surrounding him, he was faster than the ordinary blademaster but with Ap Do, he was about twice as fast than a twin blade. He saw Nighthand went up ahead and his speed was increased than before. He saw multiple explosions up ahead but the mines were quickly replaced. Phoenix had begun his chase of the rabbit and immediately felt the effects of the triple Ap Do or four Ap Dos in his case. He could not control his speed at first as he was about to run into a mine. He jumped up into the air as the explosion of the mine propel him further ahead. He saw Nighthand up ahead and immediately past him since he was faster than the Heavy Blade. Phoenix continued to follow the course and avoiding mines to catch the elusive rabbit.

Rolling her eyes in disappointment, hijinx gave her pet a poke to wake him . If pheonix was going to depend on his new powers so heavily than she would just have to do something about it.

"Hey you, make with the fast spell!" she said, poking the gel as it clung to her back. The gravity increase was a minor nuisance. With her rabbit form as it was he would do little more then waste his time and energy. Still, he needed to be taught a lesson about dependency. Lowering her head and leaning into the run she increased her speed , leaping forward. Turning midway, she clapped her hands together and smiled as she screamed out a bizarre spell name.

"Mystery bag!"

A dark hole suddenly appeared in front of her and tirath came flying out as if he was shot from a cannon. Colliding with pheonix, he let out a surprised grunt. Finishing her mid-air twist, hijinx continued to run through another loop, running over a few of the mines without a care. Explosions rocked the road as they exploded far behind the rabbit. With the speed they had at the moment, all they really had to do was not hesitate. "Hopefully they'll realize that soon." the twinblade thought to herself with hint of happiness in her step.

"I'm tired of this chaos." Silverblade said to Nighthand for the fifth time.

"I know, I know, now stop telling me! Don't make me come in there."

Nighthand proceeded to ignore his erstwhile helper and increase his speed.

Slowly sliding his stats from strength to speed, the heavy blade was almost gaining on Phoenix. But, when he spotted the rabbit far ahead twist in the air...

...he was worried.

A hole in space summoned by a non-existant spell seemed common fare for this realm, but what really bugged Nighthand was he couldn't see the energies of the spell. It was as if Hijinx made them up on the spot, and they just simply appeared. It was wrong. And when Tirath, or a replica of him, shot from the hole to tangle with Phoenix...

Nighthand shrugged, gave up trying to understand it, and ran past them as the pair fell.

Nighthand studied the rabbit as she fell back to earth. Her speed even more increased, she ran over mines without care, long gone when the explosions hit.

"...do that?" Nighthand caught the tail end of another Silverblade comment.

"What was that?"

"Oh, so you decide to listen to me when i mighthave decent advice, is that it?"

"Just make with the talking..."

"I SAID, I wonder if we can do that. Just, ignore the mines and let them explode behind us."

"It's worth a shot... I'm not sure how well it'll work, being not as fast as that rabbit-creature."

Nighthand ceased his dodging of the mines, letting his feet fall where they may, his only concern being the twists and curves of the path, his gaze fixed on the rabbit far ahead.

"How I'm going to ever catch this beast... She has more speed than a level 100 twinblade should ever dream of having." Nighthand continued to mutter along the same vein, running as he could.

Phoenix continued to run along the tunnel as he tried to slow down the rabbit by increasing her gravity. His plan did not seem to have much effect on her since she was not slowing down at all but becoming faster. Realizing that the gravity plan was not having any effect and could cause him pain from continuous use, Phoenix removed the gravity effect around Hijinx. Suddenly, he saw the rabbit clapped her hands together and a hole appear in front of her. A person emerged out of the hole and collided into the Blademaster. It was Tirath or seems to be Tirath. Phoenix was knocked to the ground with Tirath on him and became angrier.

He immediately threw Tirath off to the side and got right back up. Suzaku, I want to catch that rabbit even more now. Recast Ap Do. I need to do some catching up now since Nighthand has passed me. “Will do but I have an idea. I notice that Hijinx hasn’t been avoiding the mines. I think Nighthand took the queue as well. Just keep running.” The guardian recast the Ap Do spell on Phoenix. Well, it looks like everyone is doing it. If you can’t beat them in your own way, then use their way to beat them. Let’s go. Phoenix continued his hunt for the rabbit as the mines exploded behind him.

Rounding a huge turn hijinx turned upside down as the track corkscrewed and inverted itself. Banking sharply it returned to a normal angle leading straight to the planet. Taking a flying leap, the twinblade plunged into it, ripping throught the image like it was paper, mostly because it was. Behind what was apparently a screen was a projector and a happy rabbit drinking a bottle of soda through a fun looking twisty straw. Checking her watch, she gasped and pulled her ears and hopped from foot to foot anxiously as the fake tirath she had hit pheonix with vanished.

"Oh no, I'm gonna be late! Better use a plot hole!"

A dark hole opened in front of her and the rest of the party members. Jumping into the blackness, she braced herself for the landing. Once pheonix and nighthand arrived they started across an expanse of nothing until hijinx looked up and smiled. Sitting on a giant floating "L" was tirath, looking impatient and bored.

"Hiya tirath! Wanna come down and play? It'll be fun, I promise!"

Smiling away, she plodded along, quickly passing an "O" and an "A". Tirath jumped down and followed her, complaining about the wait as he gave "D" after the "A" a funny look. Quickly passing it by hijinx passed of the following "ing" with a wave of the hand. No sooner had they reached the end of the letters the world became normal again.

They were standing in a library, and a fairly large one by looks of it. Looking around, tirath wandered off on his own. Books bound in a red material were clearly dust free and alphabetized. Looking about thoughtfully hijinx began to look serious as she walked down an isle and ran her finger over each of the books. Stopping dead she frowned and turned.

"A book is missing from the shelves..."

Chiming in with a hint of worry, nighthand took a step forward and asked "Why does that sound really bad, and what book?"

Looking him dead in the eye, she creased her furry brow. "My boss listing..." A sudden clamour erupted from an isle roughly 200 feet away. Stepping out into the main isle she sighed. Barreling down the row's of books, which remained completely undisturbed, was Shinja in all of it's evil.

"And that is why it's bad." she finished with a spiteful laugh.

Nighthand, looking at the terror of a creature coming at them, froze for a second as he started to say "Oh sh". Before he could end his sentence though, hijinx had him by the shoulder.

"Okay then! Find me that book and I'll do something about it." Laughing childishly she charged away from the oncoming beast. She wondered breifly where the blademaster tirath was, but was distracted by the slaming of shinja's tail as it cut a turn heavily.

Is that the shinja?!
It matches your memories of the creature.

"Oh Sh**"

"Okay then! Find me that book and I'll do something about it."

And with those words, Hijinx was gone, racing through her library.

Which left Nighthand face to face with the giant snake.

You shouldn't worry, you guys beat it before when you were what, level one? Two?
Yeah, but we had a hacker on our side, as well as an enviroment suited for it.

Nighthand ran, dodging this way and that through the shelves, looking for a book that seemed out of place.

"I have to hand it to Hijinx though, she keeps a tidy library."

He ran, leaving the more in-depth scanning of the shelves to Silverblade as he dodged.

Phoenix looked upon the giant snake known as the Shinja. He saw Nighthand in a rare moment of fear. Suzaku, do you know why Nighthand is afraid of this giant snake? “I do not know about this snake except it is a fire-based monster. The other guardians may know about the Shinja but I cannot seem to speak with them at the moment.” After Suzaku gave her statement, Phoenix switched his Seal Sword for the Singing Blade. Last time I checked, snakes didn’t have bones. Crushing it by gravity would be useless. Even it did have bones; it would take a huge gravity boost to even start breaking the bones. My body probably would not stand up to the pressure of that much power at once. I guess the old hack and slash strategy would have to do for now. Suzaku, recast Ap Do on me.

While the Ap Do spell was being cast, Phoenix cast Ap Corv on himself for an extra strength boost. “Nighthand, don’t worry about the snake. I will distract it while you find the book.” Phoenix shouted out to Nighthand. “RUE KRUZ!” The icy spell targeted the Shinja’s eyes. That should allow it to attack me instead of Nighthand or even the rabbit. The spell drove icy spikes down its eyes along with various spots on its head. The spikes were beginning to melt due to the scales of the Shinja. I got to make my attack on the snake now. Phoenix began to ran towards the large snake. He jumped onto one of the bookshelves and quickly took another leap towards Shinja. The snake was still blinded from the Rue Kruz attack. Phoenix’s approach towards the snake was unnoticed and lowered the gravity around the sword. “RUE SLASH!” The sword’s blade was beginning to cover with ice. Phoenix began to swing the sword and went through the abdomen of the Shinja. The giant snake let out a loud roar and swung its tail wildly. As Phoenix landed back on the ground, the snake’s tail hit him before he had a chance to dodge the attack. He went flying towards one of the bookshelves and knocking all the books down. This is no good. Having less gravity around you makes a person flying farther than normal. The snake is mad and all these books are hindering my movement. Phoenix is racing against time as the Shinja is preparing an attack against the master of gravity.

"Find a book find a book find a book find a book find a book find a book"

Do you HAVE to keep saying that?

No, but it's driving you up a wall.

An exasperated mental sigh followed. Oh, come off it. We're almost like brother's now.

That gave Silverblade pause. Exactly as Nighthand had intended.

Running, running, through aisles and around shelves. All the books were nicely in place, clean shelves, nothing out of place. Exactly how Nighthand would have kept it. And frustratingly easy to tell when the object of his search wasn't there.

Master?

Not now, Shard. Wait, Shard? what are you doing here? When did you get here? What's the deal, where had you gone? Nevermind all that, talk later, find book now.

Still Nighthand ran, zipping through the rows upon rows of books, until suddenly Silverblade shouted "Stop!"

Nighthand skidded to a halt, several rows beyond where the cry had come. Dashing back, Nighthand saw what he had missed on the first pass, but Silverblade had caught.

Up on top of a shelf, placed where it was barely viewable, was a book that matched the row of books where the whole mess had started. Inscribed on the spine in flowing golden letters was "Shinja".

Nighthand reached up and grabbed the book. Now to get it to Jinx.

This might be were I'm helpful

SDRP? Nevermind, what is it?

The rabbit-creature is nearing your position. Also, so is the snake and the man fighting it.

Good.

Nighthand rounded a corner and saw, a ways down the aisle, Hijinx bounding happily towards him. Off to the side, about the same distance away, was a fountain of fire, acid, ice, and books, where the Shijna raced after Phoenix.

"Hijinx! Catch!" Nighthand shouted. The rabbit turned. and Nighthand tossed the book to the rabbit.

Having a wonderful time with the snake shinja hijinx cursed internally as pheonix tried stupidly to fight it. Maybe he would be more cautious if she had mentioned it's maxed out stats. The thought was banished as nighthand finally reappeared holding what she had sent him to find.

"Hijinx! Catch!" he shouted as he hurled the book towards her with less accuracy then she would have liked. Landing with a heavy thud in front of her it slammed shut with a bang. Slamming pheonix into her precious bookcases, shinja beared down on her. Grabbing the heavy tome, she rolled and turned around as fast as she could ending up kneeling as the creature plunged torwards her. A bright light glared from the tome as shinja was sucked into it, vanishing entirely. Her ears ringing the twinblade casually tossed the book on a table close by.

"Well pheonix, since you had to make a mess, you have to clean it up." Giving him a disapointed look, she turned and walked away. "Nighthand, come with me." she chirped cheerfully with a motion of the hand. Before she walked away she tossed a small hard backed book to the blade master entitled "Gravity and You".

Opening an iron door on the far side of the library she took a glance back. Things were going to get interesting fast. Slamming the portal shut behind her and nighthand, she burned it shut and locked it. Yes, things would be very interesting indeed.

They were in a laboratory filled with monitors and elcetronic paraphenelia. An old ticker tape machine rested in the corner spouting out an endless line of information into a slot on top of a computer. Working feverishlessly, a surprised man in a lab coat turned around and screamed when he saw the rabbit. Jumping backwards, he fumbled with a series of of switches. Moving like a hurricane wind, hijinx crossed the floor as fast as she could, leaving a befuddled nighthand to figure things out for himself. The large bellied scientist pulled a large lever with both of his hands and hijinx slid to a halt on her knees, slumping over slightly. Her eyes were filled with static, like an old televison with a broken antenna.

Huffing and puffing, the man turned around and wiped his forehead with a sweat stained sleeve. "I'm very sorry you had to see that. I suppose you deserve an explanation as well..." he puffed, pausing to take an occasional breath.
