About leveling

Ok, i just had an idea, since at the end of the dungeon you are awarded all your treasures. Usually you are awarded a level or 2 also, so, why not also award the exp levels at the end also, that way the mods don't have to jump in in the middle, and people will know when they will level up?

I'm at an impasse on this one. I know that it's very useful to get levels when you're in the dungeon, as a lot of monsters are down there.

How about the admins award you levels when you start in the dungeon? There ARE monsters roaming the field and magic portals to consider.

i would say for the smaller side-storys, you award the levels at the end, but for the main quest, evry so often so you don't have to go back over 500,000 post just to see what started it all. i just think it would be easier.

in side quests yes, but in main story, if anyone would level after a battle, it should immediately be awarded, since they get to 200+ posts

yes! we should get more levels! *stomps foot*
Hehe, I'm just kidding, but yeah, especially in the main story, levels have to be awarded after battles, extra incentive, you know?

For some reason, I want to say it should depend on who you are....but that's too....I dunno. Gah, never mind.

well i sorta like the idea because i gives you something to go for in the end and that way your more excited to get to the end,but heres the bad part of that idea if we gain levels at the end then what if we need more strength while still exploring the dungeon and you dont have any bloods(warrior bloods etc.).and what if you die and have no revives including your freinds.sureit gives you something to go for but how can you go for it when your dead?

Well i think that the end isn't all that bad. I mean to be fair to the admin. its the best way. Of course there are exceptions, such as the Hacker story, or even ours Xyrjo(the first one) the story can sometimes run long enough that you kind of need the levels in the ame

I think at the end for side stories, after fights in the main plot line. Yeah. that sounds pretty decent. There is only Nall after all. Gotta give the GM somekind of a break, ja?

I've let Myk deal with levels in the sideplots and stuff. From now on he's GM for the side plots since I don't have the time to bother reading them. However I will still be doing the main plot and yes I do give levels at the end of fights. However so far we've only fought big bosses and some little ones. In the main plot we did fight one group of monsters and we didn't level up any not because I wanted to wait for the end but becuase I felt that no one should level up at that point. anyways I'm rambling ^^;;

Hmm...it seems to make better sense if we do the main plots every now and then. But if Myk is doing point awarding for side plots, I guess that that could be in between fighting also...if it is a very long story or something...

nah, side stories shouldn't be that long... Try to not go into your own plot story if you can. I mean there are exceptions but usually side stories are supposed to just be posts about going trough dungeons and stuff etc. but ya... unless Myk has THAT much time on his hands... I'd say only at the end
