I have it...but I don't even bother logging on anymore. Everyone I know with MSN has AIM, and the same cannot be said for the reverse. Also...I prefer AIM. The buddy list names stay the same, IMs aren't big and annoying looking, and probably some other features I take for granted.

*fully agrees with Rayo*

I <3 Tabbed windows

Also I alias everyone's screennames to the name I know them by, so "HypocriticalHero" becomes Reinier on my list. Keeps me from forgetting people I never talk to, that sort of thing.

What version of AIM are you running? I'm still on AIM95, and I have no clue how to do that aliasing thing you just talked about...

And I don't use MSN because the format it has for chatting is a bit too big (not to mention there's no cap on how big peoples' names can get, so you may end up with five lines of name and one word of actual chat - makes logs hell to decipher).

I'm not saying we forsaken AIM for this thing. We could change our names to be what we go by on the forums for the duration of the chat. Plus, we just use it for when we need some massive speaking deal, like Zan and I had for the new members.

DeadAIM... a version a little out of date. No idea what version of AIM is under it's shell. The aliases, auto-logger, and tabbed windows are all a part of the shell. Though I hear newer versions of AIM can do the aliases, I havn't checked.

Go with GAIM or Trillian. They're the best two around. I use GAIM, personally, but Trillian is also excellent.

I tried Trillian before - the main reason I came back was because it sucked for direct connect and file sending.

You can do a big chat in AIM. There's even a handy button for it!

I don't use MSN.
I don't have MSN.
I'm not going to bother with MSN.
I'm not even that big an online chatter.

Let us just stick with AIM and not complicate things.

Eh, MSN has too many blarg IN YO FACE annoyances. The only thing good about it is the webcam systems. Webcams suck on AIM.
